Okay, guys. Due to being mod in this section, I decided to close that thread and possibly even remove/delete it because of the breach of certain other rules. I didn't know of this thread, because I'm not around that often these days so I missed to join the conversation between staff members early enough.

Just for your information, the reason why I would have closed/deleted that thread:
1. There is already a thread about this topic here - I'm thinking of adding the booktitle to its name so that it's clearer to everyone (since Taiji also has released another book, when I'm not mistaken).
2. There's neither a disclaimer, that the translations might be not perfect due to not being authorized, nor is the name of the translator mentioned. It's no official document, so people should be sceptical, if it's all the right way and so on and so on...
3. Doubleposts with very much content, which isn't really necessary, since everyone is able to click that link.

Just waiting for an ok - if there'll be one, the thread will be deleted/moved/whatever is suggested then.  Just wanted to let you know...

Well I feel it's not that offensive. He was a heavy drinker, we all like a drink now and then. Describing hide of what he really was isn't a crime. But yeah, he said some good things too, he's argueing both points for everyone, which is the right thing to do ^^

I think so too - and that's why I don't understand, why some Yoshiki-fans feel offended about what Taiji has written about Yoshiki. Maybe it's about parts I don't know or I've missed something? - ... no clue. What I remember what he has written about Yoshiki was... not disrespectful. He even said, how he loved him, so mostly I've got the impression how he admires Yoshiki for being the way he is.
Yeah, but maybe I missed something really bad - who knows.

But then hide fans could also feel offended. Taiji didn't only say "bad" things about Yoshiki, but as well about hide. I wouldn't say that the description of how hide was when he was drunk is a very good thing. And only because it's common knowledge it still is not a good thing and still quite a personal thing.
I don't know if Taiji said things like those about all members, but what I know is that he nevertheless also said many good things about hide and Yoshiki - how he's admiring them and how happy he is about having met them and stuff like that. There are things which really surprised me concerning what he wrote about Yoshiki and the feelings to him. And everybody would have known that he lied, if he only had mentioned nice things there.
Sometimes he's maybe a little bit too honest, but in my opinion fair - from his point of view of course.
And the way he described himself was partly much worse I think...
Just my opinion about that.

Sorry, I just had the impression that if this had been written about someone else, it would have been disrespectful and so on - it just looked like making fun of one person. At least I wouldn't have felt so comfortable with reading this, if you made it about me. And I guess a lot of people as well.

I don't know if I'm making any sense here.. but that's how I see the things he wrote about Yoshiki..

In my opinion you're making sense concerning that! I see it like that as well.
I know, some Yoshiki fans might feel offended by this or that what Taiji has written there - but fact is just: Nobody's perfect. Of course Yoshiki is an impressing person and special and so on, but this doesn't make him a flawless angel. In the end he's a human being like everybody else - with ups and downs in his mood. And working in a hard business like that while putting full efford in keeping his dream alive - how he puts his priorities - I'm sure he might have been(and still is) an asshole now and then.
And so is/has been Taiji. (I for sure don't see him as flawless either! Rather the opposite - and I like him exactly the way he is. XD)

Huh, I don't actually think Yoshiki looks bad, when MD says he wants to ride his rocket. I don't think that this is an argument really.
For example as well: "Yoshiki's voice" or "Yoshiki gets into fights all the time" or "Yoshiki has pink underwear" are threads about Yoshiki.
"I wanna fuck Yoshiki" is about the thread opnener, isn't it? So taking your arguments for real, the staff rather was looking for MD not to look bad than for X then.
:? In my opinion MD was't making Yoshiki look silly with his thread. Not at all (rather the opposite, I think).

Being staff member or not - I simply don't get the point about taking a thread like THIS as an argument. I'd rather take as an argument, if it's happening that someone closes the discussion about the song "Standing Sex" because someone said that this song makes him horny or something similar. In this example there wasn't opened a thread only for saying "that song makes me horny" and so it's somehow part of the discussion.

Is there really a "Yoshiki has pink underwear"-thread? :shock: Wouldn't mind it being closed! Urgh! XD

Seriously - what's the point here?
I really understand some points of being not the same opinion like some of the staff members, but this is really getting ridiculous now in my opinion!
What's so important about a thread like this? Not saying that every existing thread is important here, but... honestly, I don't like to have porn fantasies some users have with some bandmembers here. And don't tell me "Don't read it, if you don't like it!" - in this case I wouldn't wanna see a thread like that at all.
Can't see why it's so hard to just forebear from "I wanna put my wiener into ~insert bandmember~'s arse!"-topics... Really, this board is for sure not avoiding kinky comments and I'm really not prude about those things myself, but there really should be a limit somewhere. These guys aren't playmates or something... and apart from this nobody's forbidding you to wank over the cover of the Shoxx magazine or detaining you from talking about topics like that via messengers or in your blogs or what ever. :roll:
