Merchandise / NEW X JAPAN Merchandise (Nissan Stadium)
« on: August 23, 2010, 05:55:44 PM »
Hi guys,

I dont know how expensive these prices are compared to buying them at the stadium (I assume thats where they were on sale) but Japan-Discoveries.com has a bunch of new X stuff. The one that intrigues me the most is the "Preserved Rose"

Most of the new stuff is listed here

Anyone got anymore pics of that rose? :D

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan North American Tour
« on: August 23, 2010, 05:25:22 PM »
Good news on being on the independent, even if I dont read it and dont plan to. Bad news on getting the info wrong.. I guess asking a newspaper to try and get information correct about a band they know nothing of is a bit too much to ask for :P

63
darkcat21, stop posting stuff that is costing me money. Now I need to buy a weekend pass for comic con!

64
Can I just wait in the queue early and pick them up on the way in or will I have to lose my place in the queue to collect them before going in??

65
booooooooo no-one loves me :(

:P

66
Does anyone know about will call? It was the only option I had as an international buyer. I'm guessing i pickup the tickets at the theatre? Can i pick them up the day before or only on the day of the gig? Would prefer the day before just in case there are any complications

Fuck! The bank wouldn't give me a loan. My credit rating isn't strong enough. I'm hoping my mum can help me out and get it under her name. She's done that a few times for me so hopefully I'll be fine :-D

Tickets are only $38.50. I'm sure a friend will lend you 40 bucks.

The $40 tickets arent the problem, i'm ready to buy them with my credit card.

Its the £500 flight + hotel + expenses of travelling from the UK that is the problem!! :P

Hi guys,

My best friend recently recorded a bass cover of X and he used the official tabs so it may seem a bit different to some others on youtube but his is actually "official", I said i'd help him out and post it to a few sites I go on, leave him some lovely comments and encouragement, he was a bit worried about doing it :D

General chat / Re: X JAPAN in New York Question
« on: August 09, 2010, 03:34:09 PM »
1. What is the most likely place they will perform in NY? Obviously there are many different venues they could perform so I was hoping someone may have an idea as to which one they'd play in.

Madison Square Garden, or Radio City Music Hall.
Nokia is too small to be considered due purely to how X likes to have their stages.

2. Can anyone recommend places to stay near the place they'll be performing?

Check google for local hostels.

3. Rough cost of travelling from the airport to the arena?

Um...you are better off getting there the day before. Depending on which airport you go into it could be different. Alot of people fly into Newark instead of places like JFK cause its cheaper. And only 15 minutes via train away.

4. Any worthy tourist attractions in/around the area?

ITS NYC.

Trust me hun, there is everything in the world you could think of, from world class restaurants to amazing museums. :)
Landmarks, and so so so much more.

There are tourist pamphlets and such in most major Subway stations so yeah.

Cheers for the info :D
I'm trying to make a small week long holiday out of it so getting there the day before is no problem. I'm hopefully going with my best mate and the rough plan is get there so the X Concert is in the middle of the week. Say the X concert is on wednesday for example, try to arrive sunday/monday so we have a couple of days to chill out and see some sights, then rock out like mental patients at the concert then have a few more days to recover/enjoy before heading home :D

wow.. hide isn't printed on the yokohoma concert poster which you can see at the end of the advert.

though I really like hide and his work I'm VERY happy that X went on without giving hide this exaggerated credit like they did before!

Amen.

General chat / X JAPAN in New York Question
« on: July 14, 2010, 02:47:13 PM »
Hi folks :D

X have said they will be doing an american tour and I am pretty sure one of the places they're gonna play is New York. Now I have a few questions and i'm hoping someone could help me out. Obviously no official details have been announced but I was hoping some people may have a rough idea on a few things. Most of the questions will be based upon the answer from the first one.

1. What is the most likely place they will perform in NY? Obviously there are many different venues they could perform so I was hoping someone may have an idea as to which one they'd play in.
2. Can anyone recommend places to stay near the place they'll be performing?
3. Rough cost of travelling from the airport to the arena?
4. Any worthy tourist attractions in/around the area?

Obviously the first 2 questions are the important ones but if anyone is located near the likely choice of arena or has been before, I was hoping they could share some info.

As you may have guessed, i'm seeing if I can make it to a show in NY. Its gonna cost me a fair bit but I want to make a weeks holiday out of the trip and see other stuff but obviously X will be the main reason. I'm just trying to get a rough guess on how much its going to cost as I do plan on taking out a bank loan for this :D I dont need exact figures but if I can work out a rough price of how much it'll cost me then that'll be awesome :D

I cant be bothered reading any posts in here because i'm lazy :D

I just wanna say, everyone needs to chill out. Dont like the "new" X? dont listen to it. Dont like Yoshiki's promotional crap like Yoshikitty? Dont buy it.

Even if X Japan try and go "mainstream" and attract all the idiotic music fans around the world, surely those fans cant be any worse than the annoying/psychotic fangirls that will be overloading every X concert??

I like the new X. I like the old X. If the new X become more mainstream and that helps towards a world tour and me actually being able to see them live then AWESOME. X Japan STILL put on an amazing live show and even if you dont like JADE/I.V., that is TWO SONGS. The rest of the concert will be amazing.

I look forward to X's future :D

Merchandise / Anyone ever used Japan-Discoveries.com ???

http://japan-discoveries.com/index.php?main_page=index

hey folks, was wondering if anyone had used these before? They look legit and they list contact information and store location in Japan so I assume they're fine.. my friend wants to order the HEATH FERNANDEZ BASS on there but was wondering if anyone knew how reliable they were? As I said, all looks fine but would prefer confirmation. He's planning on ordering it at the weekend.

You're provoking me to repost the pics I posted a while ago with my collection...XD

Btw, can you please tell me what was in the bonus disc of Catacombs OST? I've been wondering for a while....

The bonus disc is just a promo for the movie. It shows the trailer and small clips of Yoshiki doing the music for it, nothing amazing :P

Hey, random question, but I was wondering how available the US released X DVD was/is in the states? Also, what record company was it released?

P.S.....I only have a third of that stuff.....very nice collection.

It was released by TOFU Records, Catologue Number Tof 005. I dont know how easy it is to buy in america because I got mine from yesasia.com.

And ElefeX? No! My collection! :D If I need more room, i'll get a new cabinet! :D
