Well Paris has a venue of 6,300, O2 Islinton fits 800 :P

92
Sadly, as I mentioned before, I'll be drafted to my 11-month military service on that day :(

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X JAPAN's world tour plans for 2011
« on: April 15, 2011, 11:03:13 AM »
Since this is about two concerts - who here is planning to go to both the London and Paris gigs? The cheapest train between London and Paris should be £38 (the morning trains are more expensive). Maybe we could hook up and travel together?

94
I would imagine that coming from Hong Kong is so expensive that a small €35 is not that much compared to that :P

Wasn't there an option of picking the tickets up at the venue?

95
Secured my ticket as well!

So, as most people agreed in the other thread, unless the venue is moved, and if the weather permits we'll start gathering on the day of the gig in Barnard park. We'll have to think up some cool activities and stuff, so feel free to throw out ideas!

As written on Xplosion, the German promoters confirmed that X is keeping quiet because they want to announce everything at once, but all the gigs haven't been confirmed yet (the UK and London gigs apparently are, since the venues already sell tickets). :) So don't worry!

They can't announce concerts that haven't been confirmed yet, as I see it :) Don't worry, I'm sure they'll give... at least a month of warning beforehand :P

Since gathering at the London venue more than a few hours before is forbidden and apparently can get you banned from the gig, I suggest we meet nearby beforehand - for example in Barnard Park!

Sadly I won't be able to attend the Berlin gig since I have compulsory military service starting on July 4th...

You are forgetting that in order to promote his new single, Yoshiki (or even the whole X Japan) should do a lot of promotion in the US. It's not like Japan, where everything they touch will sell out in a few days. Right now, touring the US and TV shows and whatnot wouldn't feel right. At all. If they'd release the single today, it would be left on the shelves for the weeks or months it would take for the situation to calm down enough for Yoshiki to be back on the track again.

Of course, another question is if the single was going to be delayed anyway or not, I can't argue for or against it without any further proof. But right now delaying the single might do more good than bad.

Offtopic / About Maverick
« on: March 10, 2011, 12:05:59 PM »
Some of you should remember a user named Maverick, he was one of the oldest members on the board (registration number 54), even though he hasn't posted since last July and hasn't been online for a while. There is another reason for that, aside his work on Xplosion-online and graduating University.

Last Friday morning Maverick passed away. He was diagnosed with gullet cancer (cancer of the oesophagus/the food pipe) in October 2010. Being his usual self he fought it and didn't give up. He pulled back from the Internet but didn't tell most of his friends as he tried not to worry anyone. He hoped he'll get better soon and can come back.

I was lucky to have met Maverick in person several times, first time being the first failed X Japan Paris concert where we had lots of fun, and the last time when Ra:IN toured Europe and we saw them in Berlin and Köln and even got to interview them (Mav doing most of the work and speaking, I just took some pics and laughed along)... He was certainly a person I will never forget... Rest in peace, friend!

A nice article that should cover most of the questions is up on Xplosion-Online.

One thing I didn't mention there though, is that Rusty Spurs is a gay bar! Just look at their MySpace - http://www.myspace.com/rustyspursaustin

As I said above, it's probably just a palceholder by Japan Discoveries, so people would pre-order from them. The real releases haven't been specifically announced yet and I'm sure we'll get more information a bit before the release.

No word on it yet as far as I know, but I personally prefer a physical release as well.

I don't think it's official there... Japan Discoveries often puts items on sale with an estimated price, just to get orders in before the competitors. It might really be cheaper (or more expensive for all I know)...
