Albums/Singles / Re: what happened with the LA PV shoot

There are no official videos out, the Rusty Nail one is most probably an unfinished product, we have only seen clips of the others (Jade, Kurenai and Born to Be Free, which was filmed later).

I imagine they'll be used for promotion of the new album, if it ever should come out. MTV, VH1, stuff like that... Or at least they'll try to.

Offtopic / Re: About Ann1958
« on: May 27, 2011, 08:23:09 PM »
Having had the luck of meeting her once, last year, I can truly say that I'll miss her much. As a coincidence, it was my birthday and though she had never met me before and had found out I was passing through Belgium just a few hours prior she got me a birthday cake. I'll never forget her.

By the way, this is from Kyoji Yamamoto's facebook:
Quote
This is from her daughter Lora.
”My mother passed away yesterday, at 9PM. Everything went according to her wishes. She died with a smile on her face. I hope she's in a better place now, wherever that might be.
The funeral will be tuesday 31 may, 11AM in Beersel.”

Kyoji is the guitar player of BOWWOW/VOWWOW, who Ann petitioned to bring to Europe on Facebook and had become good friends with, as I understand.

Pickpockets can't get anything from you if you are aware of them. Just don't bring any (or much) money, leave your documents (or at least passport) and credit cards at the hostel, also the phone (usually hostels have safes that you can rent for cheap) etc.

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's new XM radio show, "Yoshiki Radio"

I think the dinner thing was in Chicago, while he was at the ACen.

I just bought $460 worth of additional equipment to record the gig! Battery box and some new mics, wires etc. Can't wait!
Wait, are you going to work in the club or you have a bunch of secret mini-mics hidden on you or...?

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's new XM radio show, "Yoshiki Radio"

I'm pretty sure it will be live. I've concluded that Yoshiki's mystery trip to NYC is for the radio show. First, he said after Anime Central, which ends May 22, he will be in NYC. Second, The radio show is scheduled for May 27th and third, Sirius XM studio's is in NYC, so it's quite obvious that is what he is going there for.
Yoshiki is scheduled to record the Sirius show at ACen. I'd link that thread but i'm on my iPhone now :-)

I know many people who attend events on Facebook even if they can't, just to help the effort or advertise the event. There is always a chance that if X Japan decides to come to Budapest at one point, some of those people will find out that it's at a bad time for them, they might not have the money that they might have now, etc.

71
hmm..I think you're not right!! absolutely..O.o where are you from??? (sorry if I asked rude ^^)
we created even facebook event to see how many of us on FACEBOOK ONLY! want to go on concert 100%..on HUNGARY..we thought it's best place for east europe they could come, as in Hungary already many japanese artists were having concerts in Budapest as MIYAVI, D'espairsRay, Girugamesh, KOKIA, Dir en Grey, Versailles, MUCC etc.....we for 4 days reached 630 people who will definitely go and 180 people who will maybe go if they really would come.. and still 1200 waiting for answer..
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=144844398917917

and many MORE of them who don't have facebook..
I'm from Northern-Eastern Europe, Estonia.

Well the event shows that those 630 people would come if a) they had the money at the moment, b) if the time would fit (they wouldn't have to work/do an exam on that day and c) if there wasn't a better concert at the time etc. Yes, there might be some more people who don't have Facebook, but still. I would guess X Japan could sell about 600-700 tickets in that area, maybe 1000 with good promotion. But since it's further away from the rest of the shows it might not be cost-efficient enough.

72
If anyone is interested, then the Xplosion-online staff and many other X fans will be staying at the Etap Hotel Paris la Villette 19eme, which is next to a metro station and like a 15 minutes walk from Zenith.

Sugizo / Re: Luna

I think this is in a slightly wrong thread, this thread is about Sugizo's daughter...

74
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it's soo FREAKING FARAWAY from me...x((( and EXPENSIVE tooo tooo much T.T....they didn't add EAST EUROPE dates....what's with us x(
Simple, not enough fans in this area. From my country I only know of two others, who are both going to the London concert. I will be going to London and Paris. It won't be that cheap, but it's mostly because I can't spare much time. Nowadays there are cheap airline tickets and cheap hostels and CouchSurfing and other possibilities...

Well I for sure like it! I could use a bit more power in some places but I don't think it's that easy without a real orchestra :)

Merged the topics! :)

News / Re: New X Japan song in Pre-production
« on: April 23, 2011, 08:22:51 AM »
They became what they are with japanese songs. Look at Luna Sea, they did a World Tour without songs in english (and without cancellations, l0l) and was successful. Why X need this?
they haven't really acieved mainstreqm success outside Asia, which is what Yoshiki wants.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: The X-Train project - London to Paris
« on: April 21, 2011, 03:32:25 PM »
You'll just have to buy a train ticket from London to Paris for June 29th 4:02pm onto carriage 15 and come with us :)

82
The comic will be revealed at this years San Diego Comic-Con - http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118035722?refCatId=16

83
First, not trying to be rude, but we already have a topic about the Utrecht gig (I'll merge the two later, don't worry).

The online-ticket sale is for members of the site only and you have to live in Holland to become a member, as I see. So in essence it's a pre-sale. The international fans can start buying tickets on April 23rd (or if they find a Dutch friend, a bit earlier :) ).

X JAPAN World Tour / The X-Train project - London to Paris
« on: April 19, 2011, 08:18:26 AM »
Now that the ticket sale for both the London and Paris X Japan concerts has begun, I'm going to re-issue my call-to-arms for everyone who are going to both concerts - the X-Train project :)

The idea is that we'll book a whole carriage on the Eurostar train going between London and Paris, when we switch cities. We might not all get to stay in the same hotel, but we'll sure have a lot of fun on the two-hour train ride :)

The cheapest tickets start at 38GBP (for youth up to 26 years), which is a lot cheaper than taking a plane (specially if you add the time it takes to get to/from the airports and the money for transportation there and back). We already have a group of interested people from the Xplosion-online.com team, if you are interested also then ask your friends and come with us!

Right now the idea is to leave some time on the afternoon of June 29th, so we'll have an extra day to sightsee in Paris. I don't think the difference in cost of hotels in Paris and London is so big that it'll make a difference. One carriage is about 56 seats, it shouldn't bee too difficult to book it all :)

Who likes the idea and what do you guys think of the outbound time?

EDITED WITH INFO:

We are taking the 16:02 train from London on the 29th and we are seated in carriage number 15. Make sure you pick that one while purchasing your ticket.

85
I would imagine the standing area in front of the stage?

86
Ok, since the venue was moved to Shepherd's Bush Empire, I say we meet on the concert day at the Shepherd's Bush Common, a park just across the street from the venue.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan World Tour @ Zenith, Paris - July 1st
« on: April 15, 2011, 07:38:15 PM »
Keep in mind that Zenith is a huge, 6300 capacity venue, I'm sure it'll be a different experience compared to London! I'll be there myself for sure!

LOL after all I'm going to Berlin guys. The London show was cruel to me xD
Aww I was hoping to see you in London since I can't come to Berlin. :P
