Heath / Re: New Heath Bass model released by Fernandes

woah...what's with the hostility all of a sudden? And what gives you the right to tell me what I can and cannot call him? If you'd prefer that I not call him The Nickname That So Annoys You, why can't you just ask nicely?

On principle I wouldn't buy anything simply because of celebrity endorsement, not even Sexy Bones sorry, HEATH (see, I learn quick!), but damn...his merchandise looks good! I'm not a bass player therefore cannot comment on the bass model, but I highly doubt Sexy Bones HEATH would put his name to something of a low or knock-off quality. If I did play bass, I would certainly check out this model.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan in Paris - 10th October?
« on: August 23, 2009, 05:29:08 PM »
I'm glad the shows are now postponed. For once it seems Yoshiki is listening to advice. By the way am I the only one who's not completely enamoured of Jade? I don't hate it -the intro is brilliant and were it not for being in english the chorus is at least tunefully pleasing- but to me the verses seem to be so lacklustre. Here's hoping the studio version is an improvement.

Pata / Pata ever been in London?
« on: August 16, 2009, 06:46:58 PM »
apologies for the n00b question, but as yet my knowledge of X hasn't reached encyclopedic proportions. I was wondering if Pata has ever been in London, specifically Camden, because if he hasn't then I swear he has (or used to have) a lookalike in Camden's rock club scene. I saw him several times over the years. I haven't been to any gigs in Camden since several years so I'm not sure if that guy (if he wasn't Pata) is still around, but if any of you remain active in the Camden rock gigging scene you may know who I'm referring to?

Sugizo / Re: Soundtrack (movie with Sugizo)
« on: August 16, 2009, 05:36:02 PM »
The soundtrack to the movie itself is amazing, so much so that it's hard not to be moved by it. Moved me to tears even lol.

The DVD from cdjapan or yesasia does not have subtitles, but in the youtube version someone had kindly provided them.

General chat / band members' facebooks
« on: August 16, 2009, 01:50:25 AM »
seen them, but wonder are they the genuine article, management posting on their behalf, or even downright imposters? I'd guess the second one.

PD: I ran a search and it didn't appear this topic was covered before, although I'm sure the band members' facebook profiles are old news already, no?

Sugizo / Soundtrack (movie with Sugizo)
« on: August 16, 2009, 01:41:48 AM »
Anyone seen this? I got it 3 years ago and despite it not being my type of film (I normally avoid anything to do with fantasy worlds...too much of it in my head lol) I actually really enjoyed it. Very well made, and Sugizo is just drop dead stunning. If you haven't seen it then you can find it in youtube with english subtitles.  :) I seriously recommend it.
