Heath / Heath Interview
« on: January 17, 2019, 01:26:58 PM »
https://youtu.be/ni_GalzfvtQ

I think this was taken for We are X. I remember seeing it on the Blu-ray under Extras. Heath has such a positive/sympathic aura. I don't know how to describe it. It's just that he seems to be a really nice, cool guy when I see him I feel instant sympathy for him. Nice talking voice btw.

Pata / Re: Interview with Pata!
« on: January 17, 2019, 01:22:47 PM »
I really like this interview. Pata sounds a bit like my chinese piano teacher when he talks in english.  ;D It's nice how he worries if the interviewer will understand him or not.  :D

Heath / Re: HEATH Interview [JRock Revolution 2008]
« on: January 17, 2019, 12:37:06 PM »

JRR: Talking about old times, are there any of the old songs that you really want to play during the lives?

HEATH: If I had to choose only one… “WEEK END.”

f*cking play it again! i miss that song so much :(
Awww I never read this long interview up to this point. XD Heath has good taste. I like Weekend a lot too. :D

What the hell is going on? People pleaaaase calm down. Insults are not getting us anywhere, returner. Please all be careful of your language. I will eventually reply to everything here later, but for now please just calm down...

Then what is calling a user's post "junk"?

I'm not the one who took it to this tone. Joker did a great job of that on their own along with things said by others. I agreed to several points of yours Joker and for the sake of ruffling feathers and being dramatic you ignored all of that and decided to be tone deaf and rude. Of course. What else can I expect from X Freaks.
Someone else being a bit harsh does not give you the right to push the conversation any harder into such a direction and using bad language.  :( You are all free to respond to each others arguments, but right now that's not what's happening anymore. And it's sad.  :(  :-X

Yes sadly.  :( I hope they end X Japan with a big bang, like a World Tour and not just some shows in the Tokyo Dome. (And I hope by that time the album is out...)

Kasumi, you are dreaming! LOL
Hey one may dream, right?  ;D Haha.

Btw I 100% agree with what hatsor said.  :)

Oh and I agree with returner regarding the fact that the Toshi-Yoshiki relationship crisis is purely a rumor and probably completely made up. We should really leave this thing in the past.

But to be honest with all of you: I can understand the frustration of Long-term X fans very much. Even only being a fan of them for the last three years had enough of not fulfilled promises to get a bit hopeless reagarding their future... Imagine having to endure this for 10 or even 20+ years (thinking of magucathy rn)... but I also get how new(ish) X fans are pissed off by others being pissed off. XD I don't think that everything X and or Yoshiki did lately was shit. I like La Venus and even Red Swan a bit (even though it is very generic...). And you should feel free to express your opinions too and be cheerful and everything about X! We all love that band, okay!  ;D

I just realized...

if the physical condition of some X members continues like it has done in the past we most likely have barely 10 years with them anyway.
Yes sadly.  :( I hope they end X Japan with a big bang, like a World Tour and not just some shows in the Tokyo Dome. (And I hope by that time the album is out...)

« on: January 10, 2019, 11:20:41 AM »
I vote "No" but I sincerely wish I am wrong about this!

Also I predict that ToshI will pursue a new career path as a comedian. Yoshiki will occasionally join him, but he never reaches Toshls level of hilariousity (is that even a word?).
Not to be the Grammer Police, but I believe the correct word is actually, "Hilarity." Again, my apologies.   :P
Ah thank you! :D Sometimes it is difficult to find the right words. Thanks a lot.

I also want to search for a job in Japan but first I want to improve my japanese and finish my masters. I want a job in engineering / data science because I know I'm unable to do anything else, in my sister's words: "You're only smart for engineering. You're stupid for every other areas of life"

Yey! Maybe one day we'll Toshi concerts together my kween!
If you both go and live in Japan we expect regular concert reports/reviews from you!  ;D

Yoshiki / Re: Barks Interview with Yoshiki - Translation
« on: January 09, 2019, 12:15:16 PM »
Every time something new appears about Yoshiki and X, I notice how important hide and Taiji were.
Yoshiki isn't the amazing leader he tries to make everyone believe he is. He couldn't make X become what he is if it wasn't for them.
I agree. Taiji and hide were very important. They're missed very much...

As I read the first few sentences of this interview I thought "oh this might be a nice interview" and "if the album is his baby he must care very much about it, so it's a good sign", but as I kept reading my mind changed to "wtf is he even talking?" and that's basically how I would summarize the interview: WTF?

I don't see a problem with deciding in which format to release it. I mean... he basically answered all his questions himself already. CD is still popular in Japan. In America streaming is the new shit. If you want to release it worldwide you can just do both?

I mean... Look at it. The "We are X" soundtrack was released without this being a Problem (or wasn't it?). I think the release was perfect actually. It happened in perfect time for the Wembley Arena concert and there were even Wembley special editions to buy at the concert! The music was available worldwide and did good on the iTunes charts in multiple countries as far as I remember. Hell we even bought the vinyl of this soundtrack. It was f*cking awesome to have an X Japan vinyl delivered to us! And it looked so pretty!

Do the same with the album and it will be fine. Seriously. Because at the end of all this we all just love X Japans music and new musical content is all we wish for.

I almost forgot that I once started this topic here.  :D :D Damn am I responsible for these two doing music together now? Haha.

ThanX for the YouTube video, darling.  :-*

Yoshiki / Barks Interview with Yoshiki - Translation

Yoshiki gave an interview lately in which he also talked about the album and about the right time and way to release it and some other stuff.

As for learning Japanese... I really would like to take lessons as well, but no time right now. I used to learn a bit on my own. Last year I learned a lot with the App "Lingodeer", but it does not have flash cards and you can't really learn to write the Kanji. Sooo... I searched for additional Apps and discovered "Kanji Tree". It actually has a lot to offer. You can practice reading, writing, etc. Take a look for yourself.

Covers / Re: Without You - Piano Cover Classical Version - short!
« on: January 05, 2019, 11:14:06 AM »
Wow I missed this! Very nice, it was beautiful   ;D Answring about the repetition, it does but the full version have some parts that sound very tricky because he goes into these classical passages.

I took a look at the full thing some time ago... I don't want to play that XD

Okay! I got a goal now too! I wanna practice the piano every day. Even if sometimes just for a few minutes, but I wanna try to practice every day! No excuses.  :D

Kasumi, play some X on the piano and post videos!
If I play any X songs this year, I will post a video.  :) Promised.

Ling Ling 40 hours?  :P
Haha.  ;D Yes of course! That's the inspiration behind this.

But seriously I realized that as long as you do constant practice (even if just a few minutes daily) you make progress. And I've been very inconsistent lately...

Woooow! You have quite an ambitious list there. I like how determined you are.  :D And I really admire your language learning skills. It's a good thing to set goals like this if you're learning something I think.

Other Bands / Luna Sea - which album should I listen to?
« on: January 03, 2019, 12:06:29 PM »
Hello y'all!

Can anybody recommend a good Luna Sea album to me? Which would you recommend to someone who is pretty new to their music (aka me)? Might be better to start with an older album, right? Which one is your fav?

Albums/Singles / Re: X JAPAN New Album(When??)

The above gif seems much more appropriate than I thought...

Dear X Freaks here is something for you to discuss! Since our dear Sue (pt_93) keeps molesting Yoshiki on various platforms, he eventually decided to answer her about one of the most asked questions here on xfreaks.

Thoughts? Feelings? Let them all out. I wanna hear.

I came up with something else:

- the cover art is ugly
- there is only Yoshiki on the album cover
- there is only Yoshiki and Toshi on the album cover
- there is no member of X at all on the album cover

- there is no DVD
- it's just one CD
- there are only ten songs on the CD

- I am already dead now - how do I order the album in the afterlife?

TV / Movies / Anime / Re: Last movie you've seen
« on: January 02, 2019, 11:44:51 AM »
Home Alone - I was very surprised how my viewpoint changed as i (re-)watched this classic

As a child I never realized that this is a movie about family. I just thought that it was a funny movie with a child, who is keeping his house save. But in reality there was so much more.  :o I never saw the relationships between these characters or how much the mother suffered, because she forgot her precious son at home. And that the movie actually has a message and tells us to be more thoughtful about the things we do or say to other family members.

Merry Xmas from Japan, land of matcha KitKats, creepy arcade joints, sexy animated characters with bosoms the size of Yoshiki's ego and rockstar turn-baker tycoons!

Matsumoto Claus will be back in business in a few days and with three suitcases full of chocolate!!!!1!!!!!111 Claim your part and favourite flavours and send me your addresses by MP if you haven't already  8) (here because Discord barely works on the phone I rented).
OMG! Kitkat flavours! Me loves the green tea one. Eh... do you still have our adress? Cause we need some chocolate.

A few sh*tposts about life in Japan, Japanese idiosyncrasy, the adventures of two gaijins trying to find an Halal Kebab joint at 3 am in the outskirts of Tokyo and ending up at the weirdest supermarket/sexshop ever, the j-music scene in Osaka and a live report from a huge band's end-of-year show will be up in the early weeks of 2019 so let's all grab popcorn for the worst, meanest, most awful jokes on the internetz!
Sounds... VERY intresting. Looking forward to hear about your adventures. :D
