Yoshiki was currently featured on NHK World in a program called "SONGS OF TOKYO". He performed two songs "Endless Rain" and "Anniversary". The program gives a short introduction of Yoshiki and X Japan and the hosts have invited five international fans to join in the conversation with Yoshiki.

What are your thoughts on the program? What do you think about the choice of songs? Did you recognize any of these "international fans"? Discuss!

Heath / Heath Interview
« on: January 17, 2019, 01:26:58 PM »

I think this was taken for We are X. I remember seeing it on the Blu-ray under Extras. Heath has such a positive/sympathic aura. I don't know how to describe it. It's just that he seems to be a really nice, cool guy when I see him I feel instant sympathy for him. Nice talking voice btw.

Other Bands / Luna Sea - which album should I listen to?
« on: January 03, 2019, 12:06:29 PM »
Hello y'all!

Can anybody recommend a good Luna Sea album to me? Which would you recommend to someone who is pretty new to their music (aka me)? Might be better to start with an older album, right? Which one is your fav?

Other Bands / HYDE
« on: December 16, 2018, 02:57:53 PM »

Meanwhile in Japan:

HYDE will be releasing a new single titled "ZIPANG" on January 23.

The song, which will be a ballad, has already been performed during the singer's recent live shows.

YOSHIKI participated in the production of the single. He plays the piano in the single's recording.

Also Hyde has written a new song for the video game Devil May Cry 5 called Mad Qualia that will be released next year. But there are not many infos on that song yet.

Covers / Without You - Piano Cover Classical Version - short!
« on: November 09, 2018, 04:47:52 PM »
nb has told me many times to share this with you guys so here you go!

I am playing piano for one and a half years so far. And some time ago I asked my teacher if she could teach me how to play this:

Long story short: she teached me, now I can play this. Nothing to amazing. The full version of Without You Classical Version is like what? 14 Minutes long?  ::) I cannot concentrate for that long. XD

Trying to learn how to play this I actually learned one or two things about Yoshiki and what he's doing while performing on the piano. It gave me some serious respect for that guy, but also demystified his music a bit. Anyway... I hope you enjoy. :D

Other Bands / BTS #1 spot on US Billboard Charts
« on: May 30, 2018, 09:42:24 AM »
I just stumbled across this on my newsfeed.

Anyone of you into K-Pop? You've probably already heard then, but for everyone else: the korean Boygroup BTS has recently debuted on the #1 spot on the US Billboard Charts with their new album. See Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Yourself:_Tear

I'll admit it right away. I have never listened to them. I'm not into K-Pop, but I am impressed with their international success. To me this clearly shows that nowadays an asian music act can top the charts in the western world. I doubt that the new X Album will be this successful on the charts, but it does give me as a listener of asian music hope to see more things like that happen.

So thx for your hard work BTS. You are doing an excellent job at showing the world that there is a music industry other than the american one.

« on: December 21, 2016, 10:55:04 AM »
Is it okay to post this, if I clarify from the very beginning that this art is made by someone else?

Because someone on tumblr, who is incredibly talented has done drawings of all X members: http://syuwu.tumblr.com/

Well okay, the person didn't draw Heath and Sugizo, but still she covered the whole old X. Just wanted to share with you.

Yoshiki / Yoshiki and HYDE
« on: October 30, 2016, 04:59:05 PM »
Just recently Yoshiki and HYDE performed together at the Visual Japan Summit 2016. What do you guys think of this duo?

If you follow them on twitter/tumblr/instagram you can see that they've been posting pictures with each other lately. What do you think of future collaborations? Would you listen to it or not?

I personally have been a big L'Arc~en~Ciel fan for years, but I don't usually like Hydes solo projects. Some of them are okay, but I seriously dislike VAMPS... The songs Yoshiki and Hyde choose for Visual Japan Summit have been a good choice in my opinion. My Heart Draws A Dream is a beautiful typical L'Arc song and it was intresting to hear Hydes interpretation of Say Anything.

What about you?
