Yoshiki / Special Message from Yoshiki for Jrock Revolution
« on: June 24, 2011, 12:31:21 AM »
This video has just been posted by JRR.

Some points of interest include a special something happening in Japan in August after (or before) their Summer Sonic performances. Since its the end of the summer, i'd imagine it has something to do with the album, which is suppose to be released in the late summer.

He also mentions a return to North America after they finish their tours in South America and South East Asia. That'll be awesome! Hopefully they'll return to Toronto so I can see them again! :)

Other Bands / D'espairsRay disbands!!
« on: June 15, 2011, 02:30:28 PM »
Thank you for your continued support of D'espairsRay.

Due to Hizumi's throat troubles, we had decided to take a hiatus immediately following our show at Yokohama Blitz on 30 Dec. 2010. However, after further discussions amongst the four members, we have decided to disband as of 15 June 2011 and cease all activities under the name D'espairsRay.

To our loving fans and supportive staff members, who have followed us diligently from our founding on 9 Sept. 1999 until now, we deeply apologize for such a sudden and troubling announcement.

All four members are deeply thankful, from the bottom of our hearts, for your enthusiastic support and encouragement.

Thank you.

D'espairsRay HIZUMI Karyu ZERO TSUKASA

http://www.despairsray.jp/jp/information.html

The page continues to say that HIZUMI's throat condition, which caused the band to go on hiatus in the first place, isn't recovering as the band hoped, and has no signs of full recovery in the future.

Personally, I am deepy saddened by this announcement. They were easily one of my top bands, and I even got the chance to see them perform live in Toronto last August. They were excellent live!! I was hoping for them to get on with more activities and new releases, but seeing HIZUMI is unable to continue because of health, a disbandment seems only logical. I will surely miss D'espairsRay!

hide / hide's 46th Birthday!
« on: December 10, 2010, 10:28:25 PM »
...I was just listening to some of hide's solo stuff and realized his birthday is on Monday! So what do X freaks like yourself have planned to commemorate this special day?

Me?...i'm not sure, i'm pretty limited with what I can do being a student living away from home and all. So I might just try for a noise complaint in my residence hall by blasting some Pink Spider and Scars all day on the 13th!
