Help / Facts about X
« on: December 10, 2009, 11:58:48 AM »
Hello all you X-Freaks out there.
I'm currently making a music project in school and I've chosen to write about X because they are... the best EVAH. Thing is, I'm going to write a very much biographical essay about them, which will be including:
(pardon the pehaps bad english, I've translated following from Swedish)
1. In what does the artist/genre have it's roots/influences?
-History and development
-Important people
-MVG/A+ (MVG is a Swedish grade, it's equivalent to an A+) Deeper analysis of the artists/genres origin and reason for existence
2. What characterises the artist/genre?
-What does the music sound like?
-Culture (clothes, language, lifestyle etc.)
-MVG/A+ The musics rythms, lyrics, arrangement and chords
3. What kind of affect and what kind of influence did the artist/genre have on the life around it?
-Who made this music?
-Who listened to the music mostly? Males? Females? Young, old?
-MVG Ideology (Headmessage, contents, political or religous etc.)
Sorry if this above was a little wierd, as I say, I'm Swedish and translated it as exactly as I could.
Now, to the main point: I would be really glad of I could get ideas to where I can seek facts, from good, reliable sources. I can use Wikipedia, but I'm unsure if everything that stands there is correct and I want more sources to take information from.
I sincerely apologize if a topic like this already exists, if it does, please redirect me so I can find it.
Thanks
