X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan Live at Nissan stadium in August
« on: July 27, 2010, 07:27:39 PM »
Ah i see - actually, I won't worry about the concert itself, because no matter how it will turn out, the fans will be totally ecstatic and happy and can't really complain about anything in this very moment.

Actually, I have the impression that more people here complain to stop comparing Taiji and Heath rather than somebody really compares them o__O

The only news source that everyone quotes is Sankei Sport's article about it and they express themselves very vague, talking of their personal researching and information from 'related persons'. So I won't even wonder if it turns out that no Taiji will appear at the Live at all.

What i go say now may sound not nice but i do not mean it. But fans should accept Heath now, fans say ohh he is a bad bass player and
taiji is better blaaah blaah blaah bullshit.  Heath is not Taiji and Taiji is not Heath. They should not be compared to eachother, everybody has its good and bad.  I personal don't like this Taiji guesting.

and no i'm no Heath fan girl .. i say it from my interprent
I never said I compare Taiji to Heath. I never said Heath should leave the band. And I didn't say with any word that Taiji is better than Heath. I just replied to your question what Heath may think when Taiji is there. And indeed he is there as a GUEST musican and not as a member (though I'd support it if he will be a member again, but I don't EXPECT it) when the news are really true. Taiji can play songs Heath can't play and I'd love to hear them again (Voiceless Screaming, Desperate Angel...) And I don't think it would be a problem if both bassists are on stage (like, I can not imagine Taiji playing Rusty Nail or something)
I never said Heath should leave the band so I'd really appreciate it if people stop to conclude things from what i said which were never a point of discussion!

I don't think it was THAT voluntary - he wasn't really happy about it back then. Though the musical differences turned out to be a huge gap.

This is indeed weird.  I wonder how heath thinks about this...
I wonder how Taiji though when he got kicked out :P

Yoshiki / Re: New Yoshiki LA Times Article
« on: July 26, 2010, 08:12:06 PM »
Despite the slight impression of a talking merchandise machine, who's acting like (Pinky's) Brain, I'd also say that's definitely Yoshiki who's speaking ;D

Adding to Beauty/Broken, I'd say the difference between the Barks interview and that of LA Times is, that Barks and its readers know who they're talking to.
As for LA Times, Yoshiki's position is not that clear as he's seen as kinda newcomer. So come to think of it, if I wouldn't know Yoshiki, and had to describe him, my first question very likely might be 'Who's that guy that Hello Kitty made a special merch of him?' So I think this somehow alien impression is quite natural.

Taiji / Re: Taiji met with Yoshiki the other day
« on: July 23, 2010, 10:11:42 AM »
Well, basically there is the impression that he's not very happy to talk about X and its members. That is, he seems to still reminisce about the past until he left X but what comes after that he doesn't wanna have to do anything with. Kinda like 'i'm done with it'. He doesn't even follow what they're doing recently.
Some of us were kinda shocked about what he said in this interview and speculated about whether it was just a matter of interpretation from japanese to english or whether he really meant it like this. We discussed about it here.
It looks like he's still somehow hurt about what happened 18 years ago, but come to think of it, he attended the 13th hide memorial such as the X members did and who knows, maybe there's a little chance that he happened to talk to the X members again.
If that also applies to the day he talked about in his blog - that only know Taiji and his 'old friends' alone, though.

General chat / Re: X Japan new song - Born to be Free
« on: July 21, 2010, 01:37:00 PM »
IWhen I was at the opening night X Japan's reunion shows in 2008 at Tokyo Dome I was sat behind an adult woman with her young daughter, I was sat in front of two teenage girls dressed in Lolita dresses and sat several seats away from two middle aged metal heads. I think that goes some way to explaining the point I'm trying to make.

... and that's what makes X special.
Actually, I think it's not so much about gaining more and more popularity. At least not from a fan's POV. I don't care about whether how popular X is anywhere or not really. But isn't it great to see X reaching also their fans outside Japan?
But this is only possible through overseas appearances, though and why should a management promote a band and invest money in it if they don't see any promising profit in it.... plain said. So mainstream back and forth, it also can be very useful in that sense and among the new songs are also some i like very much. To me it looks like they slowly return to their own unique style... even before Dahlia.

I bet Toshi is happy to have fans all over the world who support him.

Taiji / Re: Taiji met with Yoshiki the other day
« on: July 18, 2010, 09:05:07 PM »
Anyway I'd be careful with this. He didn't say it was really Yoshiki. Taiji is a musician after all and touring here and there so i think it is really possible that there could be a story with other friends, as well.
I also would like to see if it was Yoshiki and the others. But I think it is said too much to say 'it's definitely him', because if Taiji wanted to let his fans know who it really was, he would have said it.

But who knows... maybe we can keep up hope and have the possibility to see Taiji together with X on stage again.

I'm not sure whether it is available for download... you could try iTunes, though.
But as for this piece, I'd reccommend you the Eternal Melody II as CD... but that's only the instrumental version...

@cachal: the blog entries you're refferring to were about a session together with some members of Loudness, KENZY and so on, but that was around the time when Taiji wrote this and not now...

It isn't true... the poster apparently thinks Taiji is STILL a member of Loudness, read that Loudness will be on tour in Europe, and THOUGHT Taiji will be there, as well... e.e

Taiji / Re: Did Taiji appear on stage at Hide's funeral?
« on: May 09, 2010, 05:10:02 PM »
Actually, i never thought about it - it was always somehow 'clear' for me that it must be Taiji, but actually, there's not a single source who says for sure it is him.
Come to think of it, who else should it be but Taiji - and even if it won't be him, I'd like the idea.

I don't think there's a definite explanation for everything. Music expresses someone's feelings - like a painting or a poem does. And I think it's useless to analyse it and say that is the definite meaning in it (a practice what I actually dislike about teachings in school).
So you can either ask Yoshiki about what he meant there or try to find your own way how to see it. But I think music is there because there are no other words to describe the feeling in it and IMO you won't ever receive a proper answer while putting up a question like 'what does the author mean by that'?
Look what your heart tells you.

I personally see Yoshiki killing someone in my mind. That is, he doesn't do it because he wants to but it feels like he did. Meaning a certain debt even though there's nothing he could have done to change the situation anyway and nothing what is really his fault.
Just... close your eyes, listen to the song and look what you can see in your mind what happens.

Well and if I'd be that hoarse as Yoshiki in that interview, I won't say much either :P

but when you're short on money you don't really care about taste.
Holy shit! When I'm short of money, the least I'd do is to throw the few money I have away in a fast food restaurant! Instead I'd rather go into a supermarket, buy some noodles or a soup and would eat that! I could eat twice or more for that and it would cost me less than 1 euro for one meal! o__O
And not 7 for a 'cheap' menu at mc donald's
If the reality is that people who have no money go to a fast food restaurant, I don't wonder where their money went - really not. This is stupidity.

I hardly visit fast food chains. Actually the main reason is on the contrary to others who posted here, I find it expensive there ;D
About whether it is healthy or not I don't care really, as I eat what I want and when I'm in the mood to. But I tend to eat some sandwiches in the city, as it's the fastes way to get something to eat when I'm not at home.

@Nebula: Good point! That could be true - but it's still speculation...

Also he still hangs out with Pata, at least up until 2009 he did. So that he has NO contacts with X members (especially when Pata considers him a good friend and worries about him) is kind of overstretching...

Exactly. That's what I am aware of and what confuses me about things that he said then...

Toshi / Re: Toshi Live - Asakasa blitz
« on: February 25, 2010, 12:40:53 PM »
I didn't say anything about Toshi's voice - I just referred to the time - whether they started the concert 10 or 38 minutes to late.
I also didn't say that everything what was written on the myspace was right, nor did I say that everything what is written on that bxte.info report was wrong.

And btw what I've seen so far from the news broadcasting Asuka showed, Toshi's voice didn't sound worse than during the countdown live 2008/09.

I just think it sounds really rude when you drag that summary so much down. As I think there were some interesting information in it. But it seems some little mistakes or those information you think, are mistakes, because there was one thing in it you don't agree with, seem to make you forget everything else you maybe learned about that concert through this report.
