Some parts of Art of Life, especially this:

"Time goes flowing, breaking my heart
Wanna live
Can't let my heart kill myself
Still I haven't found what I'm looking for"

And the 'ending' of Tears

"Someday I'm gonna be older than you.
I've never thought beyond that time.
I've never imagined the pictures of that life.
For now I will try to live for you and for me.
I will try to live with love, with dreams
and forever with Tears."

General chat / Re: I don't listen to X anymore!
« on: August 28, 2018, 06:02:19 PM »
I definitely don't listen to X on a daily basis because adult life sucks unfortunately I don't have the time to sit back and chill with my favourite music every evening anymore   :-\

THAT is so true! I generally don't listen to much a lot lately... if I do, it's just my whole playlist on shuffle or musicals LOL

- The song sounds like an X version of Rosa
- The song sounds like a remake of  I.V.
- I can't sing song XYZ without ending up singing ZYX without even noticing
- Does Yoshiki even realize that he's playing the same song in 28437 variations!?

The Concerts / Re: Coachella with surprises

my first thinking was "is he drunk?"  ;D
LOL yeah. What the hell, Yoshiki.

That aside... He talks about going to do something very "shocking" with MM as a guest and than he does the most unsurprising and unshocking thing, by just playing one of his songs? I was hoping for a bit more...

The Concerts / Re: X Japan 2017 World Tour - Acoustic Special
« on: July 23, 2017, 08:22:06 PM »
Yeah, watching Toshi not being able to sing anymore was so so heartbreaking!!! :(
Like really, SOMEONE HUG HIM PLEASE!!!

...and then the song ends, toshi keeps standing there while Yoshiki turns his back towards him/audience to sort his sheets, turns back and start talking about whatever again, totally ignoring Toshi. WHAT THE HELL!? Dunno what that was, trying not to interpret too much into it!

Anyway, about their relationship in general, I feel like something changed. That basically Toshi got more independent (also from Yoshiki), which I think is great. And while there's less hugging on stage, there's more Toshi making fun of Yoshiki now, that that is just so much fun! :P

Edit: Ah, actually there are two things that made me wonder if those two ever talk to eachother about Toshi's HOH times at all! The first was when that dodumentary-thing about Toshi's time there was aired on japanese TV and Yoshiki tweeted about it. I don't even remember what it was but it sounded so shocked as if he realized it for the first time. -_-
The other thing was in the we are x documentary, when Toshi told Yoshiki that he was still totally under HOH's controll when he first met Yoshiki again, and Yoshiki was just like "....eeeeeh....?"....WHAT THE HELL THAT WAS FLIMED IN 2014 OR SO!? >_<
I don't even know what to think of it! My POV is currently that Yoshiki never asked Toshi because "if he wants to say something, he will do it" and Toshi on the other hand being like "I don't want to bother anyone with it". Oh well. This is getting to long again, I'll shut up now. :P
...and this is pretty offtopic... Do we have a Y&T analysis thread somewhere? ;P

Is anyone also watching the livestream?
While the concert is obviously much calmer than usually, it had some pretty cool song versions there! :D

They even did a part of X with just Piano and Toshi and the fans singing along. That was quite fun!

General chat / Re: Anime Expo Premiere of "We Are X" + Yoshiki Q&A
« on: July 07, 2017, 10:00:29 PM »
(...) then he gets to turn back to social media and apologize and get the unconditional love from his fandom in return.. a bit messed up.

Ha that reminds me of something I saw a few years ago, where an X Fan compared the Yoshiki<>fans relationship to an abusive relationship. :P
I'll try to find the quote, but either way, can't argue that there's some truth in that with all the broken promises, halfhearted apologies and yet unconditional love he gets of some.

It's actually even  more bitter because X' (or Yoshiki's) current marketing doesn't only use all their drama as a selling point but also the fans. Considering to how much Yoshiki allegedly cares about them, he shows that in preeeeetty weird ways. LOL

(Something slightly different - Why would we fans be responsible to keep a positive view no matter what an artist does? We can just go away and do something else. In the first place it's the artist that wants to sell something and get people on his side, so HE should be in charge of motivating the fans. The same goes for pretty much everything - may it be TV shows, books, video games,... why would it be different there?)

General chat / Re: Anime Expo Premiere of "We Are X" + Yoshiki Q&A
« on: July 02, 2017, 08:28:57 PM »
Why? Because the only way he takes breaks is to be tied up I guess... -__-
(I can actually relate to that - but it's not healthy at all!!!)

I don't understand why he announced Anime Expo and Japan Expo, that's only stressful and no use in the state he's in. A surgery isn't something you overcome with willpower! >_< Oh well, I hope he doesn't have to cancel his Paris dates as well and recovers enough to survive the X Tour...

Ha yeah... He'll probably be able to move by then but I doubt that flying is a good idea and probably he won't be able to do anything more than a Q&A anyway... In two day they'll announce what they'll do about the YC and X concerts... we'll see... :/

General chat / Re: "We Are X" DVD release confirmed
« on: May 30, 2017, 08:54:04 PM »
Ah yeah the Wembley version was lacking quite some stuff! I watched it again at the cinema with a friend the day after the concert and we were wondering whether this or that was shown or not. Since they had to shorten it they cut some stuff that wasn't so important in the flow of the movie I guess.

Anywaaaay, Kurenai, I was really really sceptical of the movie as I was annoyed about how yoshiki-centric it seemed to be. But when seeing it I didn't mind it at all actually. Yoshiki's interviews are way more annoying then what he says in the movie. :P I really enjoyed the movie and can only recommend it, at least if it's not too much troube to get your hands on it! (The DVD on amazon is quite cheap)

LOL he's definitely wearing a headscarf and whatever that stuff is he's wearing, it's probably rather an outfit related to the Hachiman Matsuri where this picture was taken. XD

(How the hell did you find this super old thread now though!? o_O)

I'm waiting to watch it together with a friend, though~!

Offtopic / Re: What music do japanese people like?
« on: May 18, 2017, 03:52:06 PM »
Well the thing is that many other Japanese fans (like Baby Metal) can come here without claiming things like that and are doing just fine... I'd just prefer less talk and more action. LOL

(Btw, a bunch of Japanese friends confirmed my impression about X Japan in Japan... :/ )

Offtopic / Re: What music do japanese people like?

Nb, I also usually compare X to the scorpions when I try to tell people what their status is like. LOL Like, they USED to be huge and that's what people remember but aside of the fans, noone cares about new songs. :P (Just look at those medleys! It's the old most famous stuff plus whatever is their latest song....)
The thing isn't that it was a problem that they aren't that huge anymore (I'm perfectly fine with that and don't care, basically) but that the marketing claims stuff that's absolutely not true anymore. :P Oh well, I guess that's their job, but it just seems really pathetic when you know that it's actually not like their claim it to be. >_<

if you take a look on his newest Instagram Video, I highly doubt that guy went anywhere close to his studio! -___-;

axlrose, well let's hope he really does only as much moving as he's supposed to. Somehow I don't see him taking his time for recovery and he'ill probably rather try doing stuff that he's not supposed to do way too early. -____-

I think using a old thread makes more sense then starting a new one. This is a general topic and not current news or something like that, so it's fine.

The whole thing about the recovery time and the story about leaving the hospital to record something (WHAT THE HELL YOSHIKI!?) is also written in english on Yoshiki-Mobile here: http://smph.yoshiki-mobile.com/pickup/index.html?pickup_id=133
(The link only works on mobile devices)

And yeah, I'm also very happy to read things went well so far! Now let's whole that crazy guy does what the doctors tell him and REST. Otherwise the surgery would have been pretty much vain. -_-

Edit: You can already read the statement on Yoshiki's OHP now http://www.yoshiki.net/YoshikiSurgery.html
