Important / Re: It seems that Taiji passed away...........
« on: July 19, 2011, 10:15:46 PM »
I can barely believe this, wow, haven't been online in a few days but I saw Yoshiki's twitter posts and wondered what was wrong. I can't think of anything to say other than he'll be missed, bye Taiji, you rocked.

My everything still hurts but it was completely worth it, I thought they were amazing, the pushing and shoving in the front was painful but not moreso than other jrock gigs, I thought, it always amazes me how all the tallest people seem to end up in the front row.

Even tho I couldn't see all the time I thought they were amazing, I wish Rusty Nail had been in Japanese but they made up for it by making me cry my eyes out at Endless Rain.

Also, Yoshiki screaming "fucking PG Tips!" was worth the queueing in a thunderstorm.

Yeah I meant to say hi rather than queue jumping, which I don't agree with at all. It's just fun to hang out in a group for a bit.
Sorry, I didn't mean to assume, it just annoys me when a huge group of people push infront.

hugs- I think there is a tube strike, did you consider that?
It's ok, I understand, I hate queue jumpers too, it sucks to be waiting for hours then have some people turn up an hour before the gig and try and get in the front X_X luckily security's usually waaay on top of that stuff.

I'm going down to London tomorrow so won't be on here, so i'll say in advance I'm really excited and really looking forward to saying hi to a bunch of you in the queue! If anyone hanging round London tomorrow spots a pink haired girl in a Nosferatu T-shirt come say hi!  ;D

Awesome hair! :)

I'll be sporting pink hair and a blue dress if anyone spots me <3

7
Does anyone know if there's any place like a cloakroom or whatever in the venue to leave any stuff you might be carrying??
There should be, although they usually charge.

8
If anyone brings sharpies I think we should make a 'yo X Freaks!' sign for the queue :p

9
Every jrock gig i've been to people have tried to camp, it seems the venues are really cracking down on it now, which is a good thing, tbh. I think queueing from early in the morning is one thing but camping out all night has serious risks.

I'm happy to meet up before 10am and all queue together, i'm going on my own so it'd be amazing to meet other X fans! :)

10
Why do I get the feeling they've been added as a support band simply because they've got 'Japan' in their name? :-p

11
The venue said non-profesional cameras were allowed as long as the artist doesn't say otherwise, you think they'd know that kind of thing -_-

12
I rememeber when Gackt was in London we weren't allowed to use cameras to take photos (some fans were very sneaky though).  Staff were very strict and kept a close eye on everyone from upstairs.

I think cameras are ok in general, unless it's stated very firmly by the venue that it's not permitted at all.  It would be a shame if we were not allowed to take photos of X Japan this coming tour because I want to capture them during their explosive performances.

Usually the camera policy is listed on the venue page but I can't seem to find anything. I've emailed the venue about cameras and i'll post here when they reply.
Of course if they do say no some people choose to be sneaky and take a camera, thats everyone's choice but you do risk being kicked out of the gig. I dunno how strict security's gonna be at this venue but security can be very strict at Jrock gigs so it's better to err on the side of caution.

Also- think I mentioned this further up but I emailed seetickets a couple of weeks ago and they said they don't usually dispatch tickets until the week before the gig.

Also Also- I hope no-one thinks i'm being a know-it-all, just trying to make myself useful, let me know if I get annoying  :P

13
you might have trouble with a camera, depends on the specific rules for this concert but at most other jrock gigs they're banned, feel free to correct me if anyone knows better ^^;

News / Re: New X Japan song in Pre-production
« on: May 14, 2011, 10:17:33 AM »
I'm not too worried about the utter shambles recording is sounding like, after all this is X Japan, has there ever been a time when fans haven't been stood, blinking at the latest news going "what on earth are they doing??"

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's new XM radio show, "Yoshiki Radio"
« on: May 14, 2011, 10:08:06 AM »
It's not so much his English that bothers me, mostly he's just stuck with the older Japanese habit of saying 'um' ALL. THE.TIME. More it's his habit of getting his train of thought utterly derailed, we've all seen/read/heard instance of him going "so the new album's gonna be...OMG ICE CREAM!!"

I love Yoshiki and his random side projects, but this is getting a bit 6 year old on a sugar high, i'm waiting for the words 'and I wanna be an ASTRONAUGHT!'
lol, I won't mind if he says so :D BTW, I guess once he said he wanted XJapan to be the first band playing on the Moon ;)

Well, if it's gonna be any band, it'll be X.

TV / Movies / Anime / Re: Last movie you've seen
« on: May 13, 2011, 05:22:39 PM »
Last movie I saw at the cinema was Thor, it was good, not OMG AMAZING like some people'd been expecting but it was really fun, and got most of the important comic book facts right, of course it was completly innaccurate to norse myth but so was the comic  :p

dunno how to imbed the trailer so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOddp-nlNvQ

Now Thor's out of the way the next Marvel movie is Captain America! :D:D:D

More than a month to go and i'm already have a 'wth do I wear?!?!' panic XD
I was gonna redye my hair pink but since it's currently purple I don't have the time/effort/money to go through the whole bleaching fiasco again. For the concert i'm really torn between something practical and comfy (jeans/skirt and a t-shirt) or insane (dammit I want one of Yoshiki's 80s dresses, SO PRETTY *__*)

anyone else having the dilemma between shiny and comfy?

anyone remember a time when Yoshiki did that whole 'making music' thing? :p

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: The X-Train project - London to Paris

Normally the pink hair helps me be identified in a crowd, but I have a feeling at an X concert 90% of the crowd's gonna be pink xD

but maybe we should all have an Xfreaks ID of some sort so that we can spot each other at the venue?

That sounds like a really cool idea for all the concerts ^^, quick, someone with talent, snap to it! :p

22
hm, that's odd, my seetickets page just says they're waiting for tickets to be delivered to them from the event organiser. *emais them*

I really hope concert gremlins haven't struck before the band are even here.

23
I ordered from seeticket too and haven't received yet.
Don't worry everyone there's still over a month to go ^^' i'm sure witchy godmother hide will make sure everyone's tickets arrive! (nobody can tell what PV i've been watching ¬¬; )

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: The X-Train project - London to Paris
« on: April 22, 2011, 02:57:52 PM »
Hey guys, I really wanna join in on this but I'm utterly clueless about Paris, and don't have the faintest clue about distances between train/venue/hotel etc (google is not my friend) can anyone give me some info on locations and such? Or would even be willing to have a nervous and confused fangirl attached to them during the trip while probably yelling "I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON!"

26
Dont worry about not receiving tickets yet guys, you probably won't receive them until the week of the concert, the websites tend to say to contact them if you haven't received tickets by 48 hours before the date.

This is only for the UK tho, dunno how European ticket sites work.

This sounds epic, i'd love to join in if I can get the cash together sharpish, although I doubt any of us'll have vocal chords left for Paris after so many "WE ARE X!"s

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki is putting his "Kawai" crystal piano on auction
« on: April 20, 2011, 08:24:17 AM »
I wondered how much money the piano would legitimatly raise, surely the problem would be that most X fans with money would be Japanese, I suppose there could be a few rich people out there who love gorgeous pianos, but I agree that 1.2 mil was the last 'serious' bid.

I hope it's some misguided fans trying to get the bids higher without realising they're bidding against other poor fans, and not people trying to intentionally ruin the auction, since some stupid people have the utterly stupid idea that Japan somehow 'deserves' this. @_@

I like Jrock, anime and sushi- i'm a wapanese fantard who hates everything western and uses 'OMG KAWAII DESU' every other sentance. I also get the flipside from anime/Jrock fans for not being a 'proper' fan because I listen to maybe half a dozen bands on any regular basis and only follow anime I actually enjoy rather than whats popular.

I like Gackt, Naruto or any band/anime with 'bishounen' characters- i'm an idiot who's only interested in TEH PRETTY.

I like Asian cinema/ 50s & 70s-era horror- i'm an elitist who refuses to watch anything else.

I dislike Quentin Tarantino movies- I'm only saying it cos i'm trying to be alternative.

I'm an LGBT campaigner- I must be gay

I'm a anti-sexual abuse campaigner- I must have been sexually abused

I have a mental disorder- I'm a hypochondriac or a serial killer.

I have a lot of books on Jack the Ripper- I want to murder people.

one less serious one that i've encounted on the net:

I'm from Nottingham, so I must know everything about Robin Hood!

Fangirls can get pretty bad, personally I like queuing for a good few hours to meet people, see the band arrive etc. but the behaviour inside the venue is a different story, a bit of pushing and shoving is fine but when they're actually trying to injure the person in front of them to get a better position, ugh.
