I mean... the song is a ballad, Heavy and Dark... :)

To me, it sounds pretty good. I wonder what will come out.
And I have nothing against them playing ballads, but it wouldn't be bad too see some old good X songs.

To me, it sounds like he's going to bring Lady Gaga to the next X concert.
Someone please knock some sense into this man.

Albums/Singles / Re: which x song makes you cry?
« on: November 14, 2010, 06:32:27 PM »
Me too, I don't cry easily, there are really rare the occasions that I cry while listening to a song.
But I have to admit, Forever Love, especially The Last Live version, brings tears to my eyes (ok, ok, I don't really listen it because I can't stop crying >.< ). That happens every single time I listen to the song. I think it's because around the end Toshi's voice is really tearful and when I think that it was sung at the hide funeral, I simply can't stop.

Others would be Tears, The Last Song and Endless Rain, but usually they only make me sadder, only sometimes they really make me cry.

General chat / Re: How do you introduce people to X?
« on: September 27, 2010, 05:09:05 PM »
For myself, its quite a challenge to get people listen to X. Because almost everyone in my country are listening to pop and stuff, and the ones that listen Japanese music go usually for Gackt, Miyavi, the GazettE, KAT-TUN, and, at some point, bands like Buck-Tick or Nightmare. Basically, I hardly ever found another X fans.
When I tried to introduce people to X, I just showed them songs like 'Art of Life' or 'Rusty Nail', which are 'softer' songs, but I didn't really gave any results. I mean, to listen to the harder ones, you need to be really into J-Rock.
My greatest success was, without a doubt, my best friend. It was about 1 week after I discovered them (watching The Last Live), so I just went at her home and showed her the DVDs. She took some time (not too long), but she's really into them right now.
The problem is that people here aren't really used to the Japanese stuff (music or culture or anything - though I'm a well-known maniac), so it's quite a problem that X (and most of the Japanese bands) are singing in Japanese. But I guess I'll wait a little longer so that the new album comes out, and I can corrupt the young minds *evil grin*

hide / Re: Headwax suing Yoshiki for using hide's image in concerts?

@ Palma
About that...
ROTFLMAO.

And yes, it's pretty hard to imagine a X without drama. And me too, totally agree with what Joker said.

He has played beside hide's spirit with humble joy since the 1st day he took the stage where hide used to stand/sit. With or without hide visuals or playback, Sugizo will undoubtedly continue to do so in a way only Sugizo is able.
I totally agree with you. Sugizo never wanted or tried to take hide's place, he [SGZ] himself said that he was the sixth member. And it's good that way, if you ask me.

Anyway...
I think HEADWAX is only trying to make money out of hide's image. I don't know, I haven't been into X or hide for too long, but I read and saw enough to make an impression. And yes, I agree that it's way more complicated than it seems, but the amount of money HEADWAX is asking for is way too much. I'm not saying that JMA is not guilty, but the whole thing is totally unballanced. I mean, they only used hide's image briefly in Yokohama. But the thing I don't understand is why does Hiroshi own hide's image? In my opinion, at least for the X/X Japan material, Yoshiki should have the rights.
And I don't think Yoshiki is trying to make money out of hide's image. Because, as it was already already, no one paid him for composing I.V. in such manner that hide's guitar tracks would fit. Not to mention the hide hologram. So yes, he's pretty much doing everything because he wants everyone to know how great is hide (he said so, if I'm not mistaken)

Anyway, it's just that Hiroshi is trying to make too much money from hide. And this whole thing is just stupid - I hope Yoshiki will get out of this and hide won't "leave" the band.
