Soo I am looking for this movie, with subtitles if possible, if not - whatever, so be it. If anyone have suggestion, please...
-
I've bought it on amazon. It's worth to watch it without subtitles (which aren't on the DVD)
-
I just saw a trailer for this on Vimeo and there's a link to a website where people can watch it but it says something about credit card. I don't think I would trust that site, though.
Trailer https://vimeo.com/137582137
No, take that back about people being able to watch on the site. This is the site and apparently they were either selling the DVD or asking for donations?? I am kinda distracted right now and unable to pay close attention to everything on that page but the video shown on here is awesome. I REALLY want to see this movie!!! The big problem is finding it in a format that will play in the USA because this region 2 DVDs won't and that's all I am finding so far. But I will look more when I have time.

You are wrong. The DVD is not region coded. And if it would (what's definitely not) you always can watch it on your PC.

Oh it sure is coded. eBay is full of them and they say they can't be played in the US. Not all but most say that and the others are iffy but there's one or two that I found that said Region Free! The rest are Region 2!
-
I have this one right now in my hands. Bought it on amazon. It is *not* encoded. Should I sent you pictures?

No, that's not necessary. I did find another one on there that is Region 1 aka NTFS or whatever it's called. I don't know why I did not see 2 versions when I went there before.
This is what it says on the one I looked at.
Playback Region 2 :This will not play on most DVD players sold in the U.S., U.S. Territories, Canada, and Bermuda. See other DVD options under “Other Formats & Versions”. Learn more about DVD region specifications here.
Here's the page it's on.

Please don't be mad at me. There is nothing more than I wish for but to see this video. I am honestly not trying to fight with anyone. :(
-
haha,
me neither.
But... Let me try to remember... I think the DVD in it has the region code 2 (yay, in europe we have the same like japan) but the bluray has none.... I've read it somewhere...
-
No worries. There are two listings!!! And the other one IS Blueray! Yippee! And Region 1!!
Product details
Format: Blu-ray
Region: Region A/1 (Read more about DVD/Blu-ray formats.)
Number of discs: 2

It looks GOOD! You have it - did you like it? Better than We Are X???
-
Here you can see: (click)
DVD has region 2 NTSC (which has bonus material on it) and BluRay is Region free. In my case *no* Region 1/A ('cause I would'nt be able to watch it, if it has a region code)
It's different from We Are X. Totally. It is a documentary without this Hollywood cuts and effects and sounds. :) I liked it.
-
Yes, I see! I am gonna get it right after Christmas. LOL. No money right now. The Region 1 Blueray has 2 discs, too. Everything should be on there. The little bits I did see of it looked awfully good but will make me sad cause he's not here anymore. But I HAVE to get it!
Thanks for your assistance, too! ;)
-
Haha, it's funny.
This is the link where I bought it and it says also Region A/1
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B012RDMAFU
But I've read somewhere that the BluRay has no region lock (I WILL FIND OUT!) and indeed it has none.
-
Ahhhh, but that one is outside the USA and probably more expensive. I didn't convert the total. The last one I posted the link for does not have this on the sale page but the one you posted, did. Hmmm. But I am in the USA so I will order the one for my area. :)
Please note that some Blu-ray players may require a firmware update to play this Blu-ray. "Further information."

I don't think I am going to need to do that if I get the right one. Otherwise, maybe I'll buy a new Blue-ray player, too. Hahahahahaha! :)
-
teeheehee,
all that for watching this movie. If you where not able to get a copy I'd send you one :)
-
How nice of you! Thank you! But, I can get it so no worries. :)
-
Has anyone found a version with English subtitles?

Has anyone found a version with English subtitles?
No, and it's upsetting to me because I would even buy it if possible, to have it. But nothing. :(
-
Has anyone found a version with English subtitles?
I remember seeing swiftly the name of the documentary on Netflix (haven't actually watched it there). Eng subtitles were included at the time

Hmmm, we don't have Netflix and even if we did on TV, I would have no way to download it or copy it. This is just so ridiculous. Hiroshi or whoever is in charge of this should really think of the fans that won't be able to understand anything on the DVD or videos that are up on the net that we can't understand because they don't want to spend the money to add the closed captions subtitles, or make one with an Emg;sh voice over.

WTF guys!?
I pinned the translation thread years ago in the Hide section. There you can find the complete translation done by our member lakeisle and this converted into subtitles done by our member silit.

oh, thanks for sharing, I'm going to re-watch it.
the more I see him on screen, the more I'm convinced that there's no way that X would still be on hiatus these days if he was with us...
-
Yes, I sure agree. He was quite an asset to X but I do love everything he did on his own, too. In fact, most of the time, if I am not listening to other types of music, it's hide's music I listen to and not X, anymore. That says to me how much he enhanced the band.
