There's too many syllables in that for the end of the chorus, it should just be "from the edge of suicide blue", Toshi could easily slip up on what yoshiki's posted. Also if those are the english lyrics, as I said a while back it seems that the new lyrics would have Toshi singing low notes rather than have to reach for the high notes like the original, which is disappointing.
As in Toshi would sing the chorus higher pitch before because the lyrics were "wasurerareru darou" and it sounded great, now its "feeaar"-loow note.

Yup....those are the english lyrics alright. He just updated 30 minutes ago announcing that theres a possibilty about annoucing dates for the U.S tour before Lollapalooza or during the performance.

Sounds more like he's getting tired a bit. I wouldnt read too much into what he says. Domt forget hes been traveling from LA to PariS, Baltimore, Japan this past month so jet lag is probably kickin in. Dont hit the panic button just yet. :)

Stalking Yoshiki has always been easy. Both his studio address and home address are actually pretty public knowledge xD

Someone else posted his home address....or well, the google maps street view link...which more or less has the address and you can use it perfectly well if you are living close enough and intend to stalk him...XD

He lives in a gated community, and his house is also well fortified - so having his home address is still kind of pointless even if you are a stalker, as it's unlikely you're gonna get anywhere near him. Even people in the industry complain that there is usually too much red-tape around Yoshiki to work with him properly. He likes his privacy.

I'm so glad he's feeling better! It's really nice he's on Twitter and is using it quite a lot! I think Twitter suits his lifestyle more than Myspace because he can just post something quick and easy on Twitter and it doesn't have to be as substantial as a Myspace message where things are usually announcements/big updates. It seems like he reads a lot of our comments to him, which is really cool :D fuck I will seriously die if we get to meet him/them at the Toronto show and at the same time, bitch slap anyone who calls him Yo-she-key

X Japan have gone through such many difficult things already, and are doing very well, they cannot give up now!

I say - if it's something that MD said, pay no attention to it. If it'd had come from almost any other source I'd be willing to give it a thought, but not now. It's not an option.

When he was going around saying the album was 90% done his latest demo's didn't have any drum recording, and a few weeks later he recorded the English version of Tears (which actually is just the original, with English vocals over the Japanese parts. Toshi's original English lyric recordings were left untouched)

The rock songs from the Dahlia album, Rusty Nail, Scars, Dahlia have never been considered by majority as the best rock songs of the band, even if that was the case in 1995-1997 its not the case now, most people think the Bliue Blood/Sadistic Desire stuff its their best rock material, and this is the best chance to get it back into live shows (and if that happens, Yoshiki hopefully wont stop playing them as soon as they become big and start playing big stadiums, big metal songs like Blue Blood are what huge concerts are made for.)

Another thing though......seriously many of the die hard fans will vote for older songs especially since it's the songs that aren't being played often.
However, I'm pretty sure that there are enough people who are going to the lives and aren't that huge fans but only know a couple of songs. If those people vote then I'm sure they'll vote for things like Forever Love, Rusty Nail, I.V. etc.....so, they will probably win over those voting for the older songs...:-P

There is no doubt they will play that because IV is from their newer songs. I think almost all the new songs will be played, that seems logical.
It is in the older songs the setlist will be altered. And not much songs, because like it was already written in another topic; on a concert tour, bands have mostly the same setlist.
But anyway, whatever they play, it will be great concerts!
I suppose the concerts will not be ustreamed???

This doesn't surprises me.
I always thought that 7 concerts in 2 weeks was way too much for Yoshiki, considering his health and considering his neck problems.
I really hope that in the future the management will take much more time between concerts during a tour.
We want to see them perform for years, not just perform many times during a short time in a tour.

This comment may annoy some people, but, when you look at X's current style, in the way the members act and the style of their new songs/music videos. As in Yoshiki getting botex on his lip, tv appearences attending berlesc/female orientated fashion shows, wearing lipstick in music videos and then trying to shove his face into the camera with it (Jade pv opening) Toshi wearing this white fluffy dress on stage, the female singers in born to be free.
I don't know, I just think they're never going to make it in the U.S unless they get a harder image. Sorry if this post annoys people but I feel its true. Also everyone who's never heard of X but has heard of this stan Lee-Yoshiki the superhero comic are already thinking 'up his own ass, egotistical' and other things if his appearence in the comic is lipstick/eyeliner and other crap.
If they do well doing what they're currently doing, they'll probably get millions of fans, but they'll be 14 year old girl Twilight type fans.

Sure, their demographic in Japan now tends to be late 20's and middle-aged people, but that's only because their original fans grew up.

I don’t think they should change their style\image in order to fit to the U.S market or smth.. what matters whether or no they will make it in the USA. They have been one of the best bands for such a long time, and I’m sure they will have lots of fans in the U.S. and worldwide. And I don’t care about all those lipstick-eyeliner-fluffy-dresses things ^_-

I don't think he'll leave Europe out of the tour, I'm sure a couple of venues will get their dose of X.
However, A.G.E. on stage before any X show would be... Foolhearty. I mean, I like the kinda dirty looking clothes that are coming out and the grungy rock feel they have, but it sounds more like a Violet U.K. thing more than anything else. Violet U.K. is an expression of alternative, experimental kinda stuff, but X-Japan is... Well, it's fucking metal. It's why I got annoyed when people IN THE PIT were like "Ohmigawd, why's everyone pushing??" and I'm thinking "Oh, please, this is waiting in line at Circle K, go to a GWAR show if you want pushing."
But, aside from that non sequitur, I am stoked for the shows to come. It seems dates are being placed down and adhered to, especially with a new label behind them now. Fingers crossed, y'all...

I do agree with you, it won´t work in Europe, it´s a bit like a circus to combine a fashion show and a rockconcert, there for we do have cirque de soleil, and yes we will have a lot of fangirlies there, sreaming as loud, that you can´t hear the music anymore,
otherwise I´m not really sur for a Europe-tour, they canceled Paris two or three time for vague reason...

You all gotta remember, the majority of the mobile networks and services are down. Electricity is down for a lot of people too. The fact Yoshiki cannot reach his mother is more likely to do with infastructure problems. Services should begin to resume throughout the day tommorow to the less devastated parts of Japan.
Whilst being far away from the heavily hit area of Sendai, Yoshiki's hometown is very close to the sea, so it's likely to have been affected. Yoshiki's mother may have been evacuated or re-located due to storm damage, or in the worst case scenario, may have been hurt - but I'm of the opinion that this is a less likely probability given her geographical location in Japan.

Nevertheless it must be a horrible and nervewracking situation for him - to not know what had happened. It would be for me at least. I really hope he will hear from her soon - same goes for all the other people who are searching for their missing friends and relatives.

Well I do prefer them not make any rash announcments. Announcing loads and loads of gigs that aren't finalized will just lead to a lot of cancellations which would - simply said - suck.
Although the normal way of doing these things would be to wait until all dates are finalized, then announce the gigs and then start to sell the tickets. But then again a normal world tour doesn't take several years to complete and what about X has ever been normal? ;D

that´s always the problem with those Peter Pan boys wich don´t wanna get adult and unfortunally are rich people oftenly surrounded by the persons they payed and they won´t tell the truth about good behaviour and stuff like that, so let´s hope he will be fit enough for the world tour :)

My guess is he is pushing himself to make everyone happy since he wants the world tour to be as awesome as possible for everyone which of course is sweet but bad for a person with his health and needs to rest every so often.
Yoshiki is smart and lives in the world he chooses, he may have only yes men but he is also a guy who gives to people in need with charity and events and still has lots of money so he is very smart.

yes, he has and we don´t want him to work 60 hours per week for 51 weeks a year with 10 days off, he has to be carefull with his self to have the strenght for the work he promised us to do - a tour, and between the shows and after he must rest and recover, if he is not able to do the tour, he can`t announce one!

tbh when he's not recording he should be excercising, going to the gym or something so that he's stronger and has more stamina to counter his health problem (can't remember the name of it, or if exercising like that even prevents it) so that he can last through tours and play longer sets.

He has a Thyroid problem which means that his metabolism is a lot faster than normal people. This means that he will have spells or days upon days of boundless energy where he wont be able to sleep or relax followed by crashes of complete energy deficiency, faintness, lethargy or anaemia.
It basically means that his body is burning itself out too fast. It's why he's so skinny, his body is like a firework burning at both ends. In short it means he's probably going to die young.

X Japan started in the US last year with LOLLAPALOOZA, and toured right after much of the US and Canada so its different for them to start somewhere else since Yoshiki is still coming back often for Comic con and other events.

in front of the venue: Tokyo shibuya, no it´s Berlin, Platz der Luftbrücke... true X-Japan fans do know only one target, the Columbiahalle in Tempelhof, and that means at first wait in a line, quite behaved, quite japanese, many fans do wait for this since ages

lol everyone messes up when it comes to X Japan and Yoshiki its sad cause they don't put in the effort, I remember when Stan Lee couldn't say his name last year that was hilarious.
I got to see Yoshiki at his panel and a good friend of mine told me Yoshiki was actually staying in the room like right across from him in the hard rock, so we kind of went into omg stalker like mode but in a good way just to see if he walked out but instead we ran into him at another party at the hard rock yay XD

It's starting to feel like an insult to us here in North America...he said 2 months ago on Yoshiki Radio that North American tour will be announced soon, not a word has been spoken since and it doesn't look like they will return until 2012 since the south east asia tour will end in November. Anyway, it's kind of disappointing when he goes on Twitter re-tweet rampages like he is right now and says how much he misses Europe and wants to be back there, yet he just was there a month ago. After the North American tour, there was a huge downtime.

Are you serious? He's ignored Europe for years and years and years. He comes over here with X for a couple of shows and now you think North America is getting unfair treatment? He lives in Los Angeles!

Yes I'm serious. It's not that he's ignored EU/UK, he's not had the chance to convince promoters/agencies to let them expand anywhere BUT Japan. The fact that he lives in L.A does not necessarily mean he is showing love or is determined to play lots of shows in North America...he's there cause that's where celebrity's live pretty much...and for him to try and live a normal life that he would not be able to in Japan. I'm not saying he's ignoring us because they played a tour in EU/UK...what I'm pointing out are his post-tour actions and comments. After all, North America is the market he wants and I'm just a little surprised they let themselves fizzle-out after they created a really decent amount of hype/news here last fall.
I think they are really trying to co-ordinate the release of the new album WITH a tour in North America...I believe that is what they would have wanted to do last year, however, the album was not ready (surprise, surprise) so perhaps they will do the album tour starting 2012.

True but let's be honest...the comic-con appearance was nothing other than promoting blood red dragon which to be honest, I could care less about. It's cool and easy way for him to make money but it's a silly way of promoting himself in North America. To each his own but not my kind of thing. They had a very strong current on news/publicity during and right after the N.A tour last year but they let it fizzle out but pretty much disappearing for a while. I'm not blaming Yoshiki/the band itself, more so their crew behind the scenes who organized it. Especially here in Toronto, it was the most RUSHED experience of the whole N.A tour. They arrived literally 2 hours before the show started and left the country for New York in under an hour after the show ended. Yes, yes, business is business and they are on a tight schedule but booking chicago and toronto back to back was silly.

Been to the UK and I'm aware Europe is very beautiful and the way of life is much better than in the likes of USA, however, do you honestly believe that was Yoshiki's first time in Europe? I highly doubt it. All I'm trying to say is it's interesting how his attention seems to have shifted since last year.

Seriously, Yoshiki has been trying to crack America for years. He's done a hell of a lot of press over there in the past year and made big strides in raising his profile. He lives in America, X Japan records in America, they toured America only last year, which is more than they do for any other country where they play only a single show. They've been to Europe and now they're going to other places where they have fans who have waited for them, just be patient and stop over-reacting.
If anything America gets the best treatment and attention of any country by far, even Japan. And contrary to popular opinion, the world doesn't revolve around the United States.

I had no problem with the Toronto experience. They played an awesome show with full energy! One of the best shows i've ever been too! Does it really matter that much that they arrived and left so quick?
Besides, that tour was last year. The European tour just happened. So of course he's going to continue to talk about it for awhile. What are you expecting? That after he finished his London concert, he go right to Twitter and say "Just X'd London, but OMG TORONTO AND NEW YORK I MISS YOU!"
North America got their love last year. Europe only just got their share of the X Japan love, South America very soon, and Southeast Asia right after. Give the rest of the world a chance to get some love from Yoshiki and X! There is no reason North America should get all the attention. At least other parts of the world are willing to sellout the shows. In Toronto, I saw a couple of empty seats, and a friend of mine purchased his ticket at the door an hour before the show started; and yet, we hear of X shows in Europe selling out within a day and having to move them to bigger venues.

X has done one tour in US and one in EU, now for the rest of the tour they will play other places where they've never been so it's fair. when they are done they can start over again with a new US tour.. I live in Sweden and they will probably never play here so don't complain please.:(

I think they might include spain and one scandinavian country next year, though! Plus Russia maybe. those seem to be the most active ones aside of the countires this year. They could have played in Amsterdam at least and not some totally random city :P Oh well, Luna Sea playing in Bochum was way way worse haha)

Quit pointing the gun at me, you're misunderstanding what I've originally said. All I was trying to say was that he seems to be VERY much into Europe and touring there again very soon, based on his comments on Twitter. Don't condemn me but I'm 90% sure he said not too long ago that he enjoyed/had a better time during the EU tour than the North American tour. ALL I'm trying to say is that it's interesting how there's no information at all on North America, when that is or what was made to seem like the target market. Of course they have the right and will to play all over the world. I'm not holding that against them..more just want some news/info from the horse's mouth regarding N.A. Sheesh.

@ Feudal: Don´t be upset, it´s Yoshiki after all, sometimes he´s like a little boy with a new toy, and let´s wait what will happen after the South America Tour - he will talk a lot about that and much less about Europe, you will see.
And finally after all those years X-Japan seems to redicover going on tour and they do like it, so I´m very sure they will come back to North America. And if they are touring Europe first, so come over here, we got much more to show than UK, you will like it.

I wouldn't worry about the lack of announced dates either. I think X have a pretty tight shedule this year and the only things that might be added would be a countdown live in Japan? I think I read in an interview that X Japan played Utrecht because one of Yoshiki's assistants is originally from there, and suggested it to him. Seriously.

Nope, you're close though. Born and raised in Germany, literally 5 minutes from the Dutch border. Only moved to the UK because of university last October. Never seen the insede of one of those infamous coffee shops (although no one ever believes be considering where I come from :D ).

Utrecht isn't bad either. There are many students and there's even a coffee shop infront of Tivoli I guess. I've been there once but don't get the impression I do it at a regular base lol.
I think it's a shame they want to change the drug policy. Of course there are a lot of problems due to drug tourism but eventually they'll buy it in a different illegal way that you can't control. It's not good for the free image of The Netherlands that they change the policy just as removing/reducing Amsterdam's red light district.

Yes, I feel like Yoshiki was acting a bit out of hand IF the item he is talking about is simply a choker. At first I thought it might have been his neck brace that he wears for drumming...then I could understand but if it's simply some leather choker for looks/fashion etc, he's being over the top...I think he should stop stage diving, I've never liked the idea of it during any concert. People are bound to get hurt and all it does it create a situation where things can occur like him losing his choker. I feel bad for a lot of the S.American fans because of his cry baby attitude to everyone on Twitter, in the middle of their tour. To be honest, it's his own fault. Did he not JUST say after the Chile show that he would not dive anymore, then what do you know, he does it twice in Brazil and look what happens. -_-

I cannot agree more; I was very stunned at that flight situation. That was poorly planned/handled and very unprofessional to basically blame it on the fans which is what he did. "It appears our fans booked before we could..." No fuckin shit Yoshiki! The fans have a right to go to and travel to see YOU! One would think that a proper management would have had the whole thing booked and taken care of months in advance.
Also, I'll add in the failed Yoshiki Radio episode that never appeared the first sunday of this month. He came on Twitter apologizing, saying it was his fault and it will air Sept 18. Still, how does an hour long, ONCE A MONTH, show get fucked up that easily.
Also, I don't think that 99% of his fanbase on Twitter helps the situation by saying things like "AWW YOSHIKI BABY PLEASE DONT BE SAD, WE'LL GET IT BACK FOR YOU NO CRY WE LOVE U BLAH BLAH". Basically just supporting cry-baby behavior. Who knows, he may have been drinking that evening and emotions got high, who knows? but he just needs to relax...I get that it's a huge deal for them, doing this tour, but something of this scale is not unsual for many other bands, even of equal age or older. I guess his concert/tour drama is not limited to Japan anymore.

Probably just stress with it all. I mean, look at his work load.. The "new" album (can we call it new after it's been delayed for nearly 2 years?), the world tour without relent, the press conferences, etc... It's commonplace for celebrities to lose their cool over something trivial, but who's to say this little thing wasn't the grain of sand that tipped the scale from "stressed" to "ape shit celebrity nutso"?
This is the problem with immediacy. He had a tool to allow him to let his emotions be known to his entire fanbase immediately right at his fingertips and he used it instead of cooling down. We've all lost our cool time and again and said things we didn't mean, but rarely on such mass scales that celebrities are able to reach.
Yoshiki just freaked out and is doing damage control in the wrong ways... -_- If anything, he should accept the choker back, autograph it, and return it to the person and be like "I'm sorry I overreacted, enjoy this piece of X history!".

That's OK for human being to express different kinds of emotions *esp, when there's such a useful tool like twitter, haha*. I do think, though, that there's no need to exaggerate some minor problems *if they are really minor*, because life isn't suppose to be like a rainbow; we all have good and bad days. As for the Twitter comments...well, that might have been latin american fans....you know, here in Mexico we are so nervous about the upcoming live on Sunday! We want them to feel in their best when they get here, but I think we are still trying to hard....
And we are nervous not just because of what X Japan themselves may think about us (latin america in general), but also about other countries.... we don't want everyone else to think we are selfish and crazy and we like messing up this kind of things....we don't want the world to get the wrong (or maybe not the wrong, but the worst) picture of us!!!!

I feel no sympathy for Yoshiki in this respect, he's just clearly an over-pampered, over-emotional rockstar who flips when the smallest thing doesn't go his way.
In regard to "stress" about the new album - I think that's also kinda ridiculous, given that they've had two years to put together 5 or so new songs and simply record vocals for some old hits. We're talking time-frames of weeks or months with anyone else, but with Yoshiki? Years. Why? Because he's lazy, spoilt and over-pampered.
I will always love his music, and hell I've defended him over the years - but he currently represents little to aspire to in my eyes.

This is hardly new for Yoshiki anyway, back in the 90's there are infamous stories of Yoshiki losing his cool over the tiniest of things.
There was an incident when he asked for a curry and it was too spicey, so he got so angry that he left and locked himself in his room.

Yoshiki has always been known as a prima donna in the industry and to me, it's kind of the "mystery of Yoshiki" so I don't mind that. BUT, to my knowledge, it's the 1st time he's publicly been pissed off at fans and it really concerns me to be honest. Yeah, he's just another person but most of us here idolize the guy and I'm personally pretty disappointed with his comments. It won't change my perception of him but I certainly raised some eyebrows.

About Yoshiki having a bad temper is quite known....this behaviour should be no surprise after all (but, curry? that's exaggerated). Still, it was kinda akward....I don't know, everyone was feeling kinda guilty even though we haven't done anything!!!! that's how he controls his fanbase xD
Aside from this, all concerts have been a great succcess.....at yesterday's live in Argentina he was like nothing had happened, he jumped again twice, and there hasn't been any incidents (so far).

Correct me if I remembered wrongly, but in Yoshiki's biography, he did explain that he has anemia, and his body is oversensitive to certain food. He left after eating the too spicy curry because it was not the type of curry he was used to, and it triggered all sort of negative reactions to his body. He was quite sick after eating the curry which explained why he locked himself up in the room. That's the untold part of the curry incident on Japanese national TV I supposed.

While there are probably many stories about Yoshiki and his dramatic personality, I'm most annoyed at his attitude regarding the flight situation from Santiago to Sao Paulo. He practically blamed it on the fans for taking up all the seats on the flights from Chile to Brazil and leaving his crew short 4 seats. That's extremely unprofessional and the way it was handled was rude. Something like that should have been planned and accounted for months ago...not DURING the tour. If tons of fans want to travel around S.America after them, they have every right to! Get a better management team, for fuck sake.

I'm no got gonna lie, I was one of the ones that "babied" him when he started flipping out, but honestly how can you not expect for him not to lose something while stage diving? It's stupid to think that nothing will / would happen at that time. . . Damn drama Queen made me freak out with his whole "Take my hair, take my clothes, take my blood... I don't care anymore..." bit.

Yeah, I suppose that's my confusion. He's fucking STAGE DIVING. Did he forget he plays in a metal/rock band? There are people moshing in the audience at some shows, Toshi used to kick people off the stage when they performed back when, and the fact that he lost ONLY a choker is, like, a miracle within itself, let alone how long it's lasted considering how many times he's stage dived.

If I found something on the floor I wouldn't really think that there's a problem with picking it up and keeping it. If the owner asks for it to be returned you'd obviously give it back (what she's apparently done) but no need to overly stress about it, especially if you're sort of rich...
I doubt many people would think much of it, when finding something on the floor at a rock concert of a band who's known for throwing stuff in the audience.
Also Yoshiki should just stop being a drama queen and doing stage diving. If he'd do it every now and then, ok but at every single concert?

But I heard a lot of stories about people losing their valuable stuff in Japan and will be able to get them back sooner or later because either others won't pick them up or people who pick them up would try their best to return the thing. There's even news report that after the earthquake this year, people who picked up others' valuable stuff would return them to police station or the government and that accumulates to nearly 3.8 billion JPY in less than 5 months.....So I guess it's more of a cultural difference when it comes to people's perception on this choker thing. Japanese people have expectation on this kind of matter that people from other countries may not understand.

I do agree with Noise, the cocker is nothing like a wallet, lost by accident, I can´t believe that he made such a fuss about it, if it´s really precious for him, he must leave it at home when he wants to stage dive, I do expect that all the stuff wich is thrown into the audiance at a concert is not meant to be given back,

TBH, I sort of understand Yoshiki. If someone took smth that is precious for me, I’d be irritated very much. AND I’m not sure if I’d accept it back 'cause I'd probably be disgusted. It might be one of my pet peeves, but such rude behavior is just disappointing and unacceptable. On the other hand, I wouldn’t take my personal effects or precious things with me if I were about to stage dive. (not to mention that I’d never ever dream of stage diving, haha) When playing with fire, one should be cautious. So, I have mixed feelings about this story.

I just really hope that Yoshiki and the band waste NO time in 2012 to get the ball rolling, and by that I mean no late Spring start. This year the earthquake happened and understandably there was a delay. They need to get the album out no later than February, I'd say, and then hit the road again for the tours.

I must say that I've been following you for some time now, but I didn't have the courage to write or say anything. First of all because of my poor English and second, because I'm not such an "old" fan of X Japan as you are. For me it's been exactly one year since I descover this amazing band, and since then it didn't pass one single day not to listened or to watch something linked to them. As much as I agree and consider your post thoughtful, the way Yoshiki often does business is truly not acceptable in how long he takes and more or less, dabbles in too many things. We've been waiting on this album since their reunion when he announced there would be one. It's been postponed countless times now and you know what's funny? It COULD be out right now, according to Yoshiki but no, he wanted to add another song to it. Half of the songs on this new album are simply re-recordings of old hits; that should not take 4 years. Don't get me wrong, they are my all-time favourite band and always will be and I think Yoshiki is an extremely talented musician, however, I can't help but get disappointed when I see them losing potential/chances of breaking through in the West. They had some very good traction prior to and during their North American tour but it stopped...if only they could've released the album then.
Anyway, I sure hope it is out in January or February because any later and the potential for a solid 2012 world tour will be slim. Yoshiki just needs to realize no damn comic book and film scores are going to get him the fame and respect he desires in the West. I.V was a damn good idea and even made it on Rock Band 2 which is awesome, I was truly shocked. Like he said himself, he wants the new album to be like a business card that he can show people, "here, this is X Japan", so it has to be well-rounded...but at a supposed 4 years in the making? That's just mad.

amiX, I do share your opinion 'cause I'm as a newbie here as you are :) *less that two years of listening to X* But I suppose it might be hard for 'older' fans to wait that long-- after all, they support the band for many, many years, or even since its very beginning. If one of my fav musicians say, for example, 'We'd release our new album in.. 1-2 years,' I usually whimper 'Whaaat? No way! Iwantitrightnow!' But, yeah, we all need patience.
Hopefully the amount of patience I have would be enough for the next several years of waiting :D

Thank you for your answers to my post! It's very kind of you! And... oh, it' so difficult! I understand your eagerness and ( sometimes!) anger, because of the delays or because Yoshiki "dabbles in too many things". Maybe, even Yoshiki would agree you! Some of you supported them since its very beginning, as you said, and that's why I don't want to judge you or to offend you. All I wanted to say is that we all should be careful not to fall to the other extreme ( sorry for my English!) and to consider Yoshiki "a total ass" or to mock him.
Well, let's hope that so long waited album will be released SOON!

Years ago Yoshiki said the Violet UK album would be out "soon" and years after, it's still nowhere to be seen, I doubt that will be the case with the new X album, but I certainly don't want it to be either.
IMO the perfect time to have released it would have been right before or after their American tour, when they had the publicity in newspapers and websites, so they could have capitalized on their "five minutes of fame". Now it seems everything's come to a halt. (Even this and other X forums are much less active nowadays because there's nothing happening with the band, perhaps it will liven up again when they announce something)
Yep, like you said, all we can do is hope that it will be released soon, preferably early spring!

But what is the cause of these delays: is it because they want to add one more song to the album, and then another, and another or the album is not really finished as Yoshiki said so many times during the interviews? What do you think? Or because they live separatly ( America - Japan), the work on the album is more difficult? But still...4 years!

Yoshiki is living with the glory of what X WAS. So he stays with his new friends american subcelebrities appearing on news showing the "japanese Bono" and all that shit, while he should be just making... music.
As I said enough times, the band still didn't get rid of hide playbacks THREE YEARS after returning, TWO YEARS after Sugizo joining. If for them is so hard to play the old songs, composing new ones should be a hell for the Princess Yoshiki.
Stay less time blabbering shit on Twitter and work, if you don't want to make your superband lose the respect that it still has.

I bet it's taking so long because Yoshiki is too busy with pointless fashion shows and other projects that he will never finish. If the band got together in the studio for a solid month or two with nothing to distract Yoshiki I bet they could finish it.

They should relese album before world tour and promoted it people to buy it, that how it should be. And probably before we get new album, Yoshiki will for example do another auction or produce new wine or plushes/ doll/ underwear/ jewelery bla bla bla or something completly new, that we even dont think about.

I kinda understand him. Smtimes I fall to many different things at once and have no time to finish any of them. And when I'm asked 'When will you finish it??' I replay 'SOON,' but with every answer *and with feeling of huuuge pressure I'm building up on myself* my inspiration just DIES away :\.... So, 'Soon' can last really, really long --like it or not :] Gotta learn to concentrate upon 1-2 plans.

Ok well if this does nothing than break the chain of damn bots that are posting on this forum, than I am happy, but has ANYONE read Yoshiki's latest tweets yet?? He wants to take a vacation on his own to a bunch of different countries and specifically says that he needs a break. Honestly, I don't know what to say. Of course the man overworks himself, however, this feels like the onset of another huge letdown for X Japan fans. I thought they were going to make 2012 a full-on world tour?! It's already March for god sake....no mention of the album yet either. SIGH

Okay I haven't done any big massive rant posts for at least a year because people were getting a little annoyed by it and X weren't really doing anything to annoy me too much, but now I'm just too annoyed, so yeah, rant ahead.
If yoshiki needs a break because of tireing himself out from things that aren't the album, then fuck you! fuck that, its your own fault, make the damn album! "Oh dear I've been to so many parties and twilight openings recently I can't do it anymore, my body is week!, I'm fading into the distant scarlet void or some shit, so the hopes for an album or tour are over, I'm going to barbados, yes I've fucked up our bands thirtieth anniversary year, but, I am so tired......TWITTER ME!"
Seriously, fuck.That. If he doesn't finish the album this year (and soon) then I might seriously consider stop listening to the band, I don't really like the direction they've gone with the new songs (they're okay in a few areas, but its just the fact that "everything has to be ballads" now), and how they replace the only remaining ones that aren't from the dahlia album except for Kurenai and X (silent jelousy, well done, another half ballad, and art of life is overplayed now), I don't know any band who does this. Unlike every other band in their forties who do twenty songs a night, X do about seven with some solo stuff inbetween because poor (half faking) yoshiki can't handle the pain. You look at Soundgarden who's songs are way harder to play and they're doing 20+ songs every night on their world tours. Ozzy Osbourne peforms more songs per night on a tour than yoshiki does, and he's a 60+ year old man who's done so many drugs he can barely walk half the time he's up there. I thought a year ago "Ozzy is basically the only heavy metal band live that plays less songs than X which in a way is fair because he's an old man messed up physically by drugs, but if X aren't careful they're going to be playing even less songs than him", and oh look now they are!
Except for Kurenai and X they have removed any part of themselves that really felt like heavy metal, every song now is big and emotional in some way and they come out dressed in big white/pink poultry dresses, Toshi doesn't seem to want to sing with his raw aggresive voice anymore everything has to be clean, the whole approach to anything in X now is to not do anything aggressive at all and be clean and emotional, and I bet that attitude is going to destroy the old songs they're gonna rerecord, Kurenai english version a lot of the time sounds crap. Even when they sing the ballads Toshi can't sing them right anymore, Forever Love seems to be a cursed song because its the only song that makes Toshi's vocals go HUUAAGHIGBLAARIUGRAAAJGFG before his vocal part even begins so they have to cut the song into less than half and he still can't sing the choruses near the end.
If Yoshiki releases the album at the very end of the year I don't know if I should care at that point, because that doesn't really show any improvement or effort on yoshiki's part, it wouldn't show any change to his attitude, the setlists certainly aren't gonna improve, and he's just going to fuck us over again with any future world tour dates, new song releases, or statements that "these new songs will be really heavy" and then we'll get another Jade.
Did I enjoy the London show a year ago? Yes, even with the setlist, I loved the show, but I'm still going to look at this from an outside perspective, and compared to other bands X-Japan fucking sucks right now. If they do make it big in America they're only going to get fangirls like every crap modern band today, because right now they're too flamboyant for essentially anyone else to like them. I'm almost ashamed to be a fan of them as they are now, I wouldn't tell anyone I know about them, because outside of a couple of songs they're too embarrassing, including how Yoshiki acts (and sugizo a little bit) and talks on stage.
And the rest of the members piss me off for not getting on his case either, Pata and Heath can't be completely okay with the direction the setlist and the new songs have gone, Heath and Pata's styles are so different, especially Pata's. Taiji was the only one to do the right thing and critisise Yoshiki for something, Pata and Heath just stand there like "well Yoshiki said he'd leave us and do the band on his own (in other words, I am the band, not you lot) if we're afraid of the world tour, so I guess that applies for everything else too, so imma be quiet".
All of them should be at least on his case about the album, its like they don't fucking care. I'd rather stand up to him even if I got fired and it broke the band up again than put up with this shit.
Them keeping "Psychodelic violence and crime of visual shock" and Kurenai and X in the lives is just a massive masquerade to hide the fact that there is nothing aggressive or heavy metal about them anymore.

Haha, nice to read a rant, has been some time ;) And I have to admit that I'm also getting frustrated with the progress (or let's say non-progress) of the next album. Plus, there's nothing announced for this year (correct me if I'm wrong), no tourdates, no releases, nothing. And him doing all the other stuff i.e. the vogue-photoshoot, make me really question his commitement to finish the record in this decade.

I just remembered something, and this is something that I'm not too annoyed with, I'm mostly talking about it because its funny. I mentioned the way Sugizo acts on stage can be a bit embarressing sometimes in terms of showing the band to people, and that brings up a hilarious thought, being part of X changes you. Sugizo used to be, and in a way still is a badass. One of my very first exposures to Luna Sea was the videos of their first reunion live show back in 2007, I don't think I'd seen Luna sea before then apart from the Extasy summit live videos. And Sugizo in that 2007 live looked badass, he looks like a kickass human fighter from a fighting game, he looks like Xion from Bloody Roar on the gamecube (and there's someone else he reminds me of as well but I can't put my finger on it). And he acts awesome on stage like the symbols he makes with his fingers when he finishes a song, again he was badass and in a way still is.
What I mean by that is that pretty much after he started playing with X Japan, specifically when he was made an official member, he suddenly became all flamboyant, he's wearing the yoshiki princess costumes or the see through naked wire cloth clothes or Toshi's chicken feather suit and he's spinning around in ridiculous ways, its like X Japan is so poppy it literally changes you when you become a member. Then there's that time where we caught him on film checking his face makeup in a handheld mirror during an interview with the band. He carries around a freakin' miniature mirror! To make sure he looks pretty at all times! And he used it on camera! X Japan is a curse, and I thought that was the worst of it, but I was looking at some of the lollapalooza live videos a month or two ago, and I saw him checking his face in the mini mirror there! On stage at lollapalooza! That's just such a monstrously retarded idea!
The biggest thing that proves its a curse of X is that when Sugizo goes back and does Luna Sea shows, he suddenly becomes badass again, I've watched a huge amount of the recent lives Luna Sea have done in 2010-11 and Sugizo is still as awesome as ever in them,what the hell is wrong with X-Japan! Pata has somehow avoided this curse for over twenty years, lets hope it stays that way and we don't have to suffer the site of Pata on stage wearing yoshiki's wedding dress.
And now, to commence shutting the hell up...or at least trying to.

I haven't been catching up on X Japan news but I found out he was involved with the Grammy theme song and there is some press surrounding that, alongside the usual Vogue photo shoots etc.
The more that the X album in development drags on the more I think he is better off just leaving it behind. At this point in his career, as a 'icon' with his humanitarian work, representing Japan culture exchange and so on, his musical direction etc, I don't think he even needs X anymore, he should move on and focus on Violet Uk, or even working under the name 'Yoshiki'.

I really was all for this reunion but they (Yoshiki mainly) seem to be treating it like a side project, or at least not taking it seriously enough. The album isn't even finished yet and half of them are old songs, it's just ridiculous, I reckon they should have one more tour then call it a day, let the members work on solo stuff or whatever. I dunno, when the album finally does release I'll be happy and probably want more, but that's the way I feel right now.

I just want them to put more effort in, a few months in the studio and the album could've been finished, but they keep dragging it out. I'm not hating on the members here it just annoys me and I assume a great number of fans.
Also, I wish there was more news updates, on their facebook or site, about the band, not just what Yoshiki's up to, how far along they are with the record etc. That's the least they could do.

It obviously all comes down to Yoshiki, and I have to say the other members probably treat it as a 'side project' because things aren't consistent. He's obviously doing things with all the updates about 'another night recording' on his twitter but it doesn't seem to be getting anywhere and it seems he is calling all the shots summoning the band members to LA to do recording.
"Jade" officially came out as a single, didn't it? Well, I don't know if that release was leading up to album release that ended up getting pushed back, but I don't see a reason why, if things have moved at 90% (from that interview Yoshiki did over a year ago), they couldn't put up another song for a 24 hour period streaming, or at least even a clip, of a re-recording of an old song, just to let the fans know things are still moving along. Or perhaps most of the fanbase is content with the late night twitter posts on Yoshiki's account?

This month I’m going to be active as a solo artist; I’m going to devote my entire spirit to the tour with System 7 and my show at Akasaka Blitz. At the same time, I’m at the climax of DVD production work for my show last year at Zepp. I need to get that done this month. Starting next month I’ve got to concentrate on the LUNA SEA tour, which is going to be the centerpiece of the latter half of the year. I also think that X JAPAN will be active starting from next year, but I need to get YOSHIKI to make a decision as soon as possible (laughs). It sounds like Juno will be playing in Japan early next year. There might be a European tour at the end of this year as well, so it’s going to be a bit difficult to coordinate things with LUNA SEA… In any case, I’m going to feel like I’m constantly in the midst of a storm.

I personally think that would be cool for an Art of Life 2. However, my only prob is with Yoshiki...and fast music. We all love the old fast X, but seems like its harder for him because his health/physical probz. An AOL 2 would be sweet, but prob not fast and super drum orientated like the original..so who knows. I am still open for it though. On another note i am starting to think that his health and physical problems may be what is causing the delays of shows and the album. I keep hearing from him in his blogs ect.. constantly talking about being in and out of the hospital, but later always says he's fine. Anyway, i've always been an X fan since i first found them in 1999, and i hope they kick ass in 2013. Go X!! Continue to kick ass for us and hide!! ^_^

This caused me to fantasize about X Japan with Panther….less ballads…..more rock songs…probably a second art of life instead of born to be free but only better…etc
It will probably be more like a second Luna Sea - The ONE instead of a second Art of Life if Yoshiki really decides to write something. For a second Art of Life with Panther I can wait a couple years and won't care anymore about the album :D
An uptempo song would be nice though. All X Japan albums have ballads combined with faster songs (although Dahlia was mosty thanks to hide). I think many fans would like it.
