Title: Pata's Solo Career
Post by: Neru on February 19, 2010, 06:55:29 PM
Does anyone know about Pata's solo career?

I wanted to know if his solo albums sound like Ra:In, because Ra:In Rocks, and Pata Rocks Too!!! ;D

I saw the Road of Love [PV] but I haven't found anything else about it.

It's including two solo albums "PATA" from 1993 and "Raised on Rock" from 1995. It's more classical blues rock than in Ra:IN (I absolutely love both of them and can highly recommend them XDDD).
Most of song are instrumental, but in few there's James Christian from House of Lords on vocal.

When I was in Japan like 10 years ago I bought a P.A.F. live CD out of curiosity, and I was pretty impressed with the quality of the music, although not so much the singer...

Sooo... I listened to "Raised on Rock" today. And I have to say even though the quality of all the songs is amazingly good I really don't like the singer. ^^° The instrumental only songs are my favs. "Fly Away" and "Remind you" are nice. Oh and all songs sound reeeeaaally old-school. I think you gotta like this to enjoy the music.

nb and me will listen to "Pata" soon to see if it's any different. :)

Holy Shit!!!!    (http://s3.amazonaws.com/pix.iemoji.com/twit33/0884.png)

That's some of the best damn blues guitar I've ever heard! He sounds like Gary Moore, but may be better.

Well I bought that CD, PATA.  I totally love it.  It's the kind of blues I thought it would be and I am going to buy more.  Raised on Rock and anything else I can get my hands on.  Looooooove it!

The "PATA" album is amazing.
So does the three Ra:IN albums, Metal Box being my favourite.

I thought I'd buy more, went on the hunt for them and came up empty handed.  Can't find a single thing online and there's barely anything else by Pata on youtube, either, except with Ra:IN but I went to eBay to see if I could locate anything at all and only one CD showed up with the name Ra:IN that might possibly be them.  But you can't even tell because the seller put such a small photo of the CD in the auction and it has no pictures of anyone I recognize.   So I guess scratch that unless something shows up, later.   I was really looking forward to more.

Strange thing - someone joined a forum I belong to and went straight to my Pata post and asked how I liked the CD.  That is the only post they've made and they've been a member for at least a month.  Just strange and making me wonder who that really is, asking me that.   ???

Not bad! I'm glad he's still playing and not sitting around doing nothing after what has happened.
